The blind item below is what happens when you sign up a superstar for your film and give him rights to take the film’s profits home. We don’t know what went on at this producer’s house before he decided that this superstar was the right person to take to be in this successful franchise. Probably he was thinking of a way to recover back all the money he lost when producing films for his son. He should have known that this superstar will take away all the profits. At least, make a good contract but he was most likely in heaven thinking of how much money he will be making, thanks to this superstar.
This blind item is by DNA and coincidentally, weeks ago Rajeev Masand also mentioned how the wife of this producer has been joking to her friends that she has a backache because of all the time she has been spending signing checks to pay for this film. They should have negotiated a better deal. Still, why is the producer complaining now? The film was panned by the audience and critics and despite that, people still went to watch it. It made more than 200 crore worldwide and this superstar will be using the money he earned to make films for all of his minions.
About the film, it was too much noise and at the beginning, the fighting sequences were beautifully choreographed but then it got long and tiring. The songs sounded like someone wanted to make the audience go deaf! All’s not well between this producer and superstar
Though this superstar’s latest release had a good opening weekend collections, and earned money at the box-office, it was not a blockbuster — something which the producer had expected. The profits earned by the film are much lesser than the production cost. Moreover, with the lead actor taking the lion’s share of the profits, the maker is left with very little. And, despite the film not being as big a failure as one of the actor’s previous films, the producer is definitely disappointed with the response. It’s a different thing he is not talking openly about it, lest he upset the superstar.
Some updates from the KatAlooSherbet saga. Alia posted a birthday wish for Katrina on her instagram story. She added a rip youth gravestone emoji to the post. Don’t know wheather she was age shaming Kat or it was an inside joke between them. But given the situation between them, Alia being the much younger gf of Kat’s ex it seem like she was age shaming her or trolling her. To add more salt she had previously posted some pics of her hanging out with RK on insta story. If Kat checked Alia’s insta wish she would certainly see them. Lol!! If all this was intentional what a biatchy thing to do.

@leap Alia certainly has stopped praising DP like she used. Perhaps she wants to play up the RK’s ex angle or rival actress angle because according to paid media, Alia is the current number one. But I feel DP denying the rumour of them collaborating for a jewellery business with (spread by Alia pr) is the reason for snubbing DP. Alia is currently bff with PC (she attended the party for Nick) and she did praise Anu in one of her recent interviews.
Pari was a competition but after her string of flops and bad choices of movies, she is no longer comperition for Alia. I’m rooting for her next couple of movies to work. Kriti is the closest competition and she got an edge over Alia because of her looks. But she is not getting good movies or big-budget movies. Disha got movies with Salman and Hrithik so she might become Alia’s biggest competition if these movies worked. If Disha becomes competition Alia will definitely shade her in a bitchy way like she did with Pari and Kriti. But what if one of Kjo’s other nepos Jhanvi, Sara or Ananya become Alia’s direct competition. Will Alia act bitchy towards them too? What will kjo do? Mark my words we will see so much drama between kjo’s nepos in the coming years.

@monalisa Sara has three films already and her first film is yet to release she has kjo saif and bebo backing. jhanvi is also supprted by kjo who went to her house to take her audition so much struggle for star kids . Alia will be dropped like a hot potato if they are successful Alia is too depandent on Dharma as a production house maybe that’s why as a safety net she is ready to marry by 2020 and have kids and get Kapoor backing.lol

@rashmi Competition for the number one actress position. Sometimes talent does not guarantee top position. If talent was the requirement for top position Kat would have never been the number one actress during her peak years. Neither beauty alone would guarantee the number one positon. More than talent or beauty one have to have the x-factor/ screen presence to make it to the top. Which Kat has got in abundance.
Kriti or Disha can pull a Deepika and turn in to good actors after a couple of movies. I never got Kriti’s appeal (not a good actress (didnot watch Bareily ki Barfi) or dancer IMO) but she seem to be popular so she must have some x-factor, which I can’t see. Never watched any movie starring Disha so can’t judge her screen presence. She is not a good actress that is evident from her movie trailers. These two are the closest competition from her gen but they are still far behind Alia.
@ everyone, @ Monalisa… The thing with ALIA is public adulation is less than PR and media adulation. She is still not a brand. She is getting good roles and directors and training to put her best foot forward.
If only such team and roles are given to her competitors like Parineeti they would have done awesomely. You think Deepika/ kangana/ parineeti/ etc etc would not have rocked Raazi ??
Stardom is winning people Men/women/youth/kids. Have anyone observed no one discuss how much Alia gets paid ??? coz she is not getting really getting paid Big bucks…since its all Dharma’s favors.I dont see her endorsements value going up either…All these define stardom.
I would say Disha is doing well, she is lapping endorsements with Tiger. She is pretty and hot.

@kiran101 alia not wanting a pay rise is a pretty clever marketing move on herkjo part. Bw is willing to pay men with a string of flops amounts twice or thrice that of top female stars but not above a certain amount for female actors. while Dp, Pc, Anu, sonam, pari talk about pay parity or being paid what they deserve after reaching a certain position, Alia is busy indirectly saying hey bring me content I will work for base price she is undercutting everyone else BW directors will flock to her and dharma she is softly killing her competition because it wil force others females top stars to either lower their price or lose out on projects because they will go to alia who quotes a lower price.
kjo and alia get along because they are peas in a pod. kjo is no ones friend the world knows. Alia for sure knows this lets see how she handles new starkid in club kjo she is a kjo 2.0

@leap . I agree , DP might start her own production company after her wedding. I said it before , in order to remain active in BW and do roles which interest them all actresses need to produce their own movies.
Also, I believe that talent is not everything, sometimes mediocres succeed where highly gifted also fail. I always appreciated PC, sonam , Anu for being smart and accepting their limitations and still doing very well. I do not think DP is very far from start her own production company…perhaps with ranveer.
@kiran101 @leap Alia’s star power is only hyped by paid media, “the bollywood mafia” and her pr. Remember when she gave a decent performance in Highway she was called “Meryl Streep of India.” Now with Raazi grossingc100crs she is promoted as “the greatest female superstar like no other female superstar before her”.
Kjo replaced Kareena (the girl he said is like a sister to him) with PZ when she demanded high fees for Kal ho na ho. Kjo is nobody’s friend except his own.
Kiran, I also have a feeling that if DP start a production house it will be a joint production house with Ranveer. A production house will be a great investment for their DeepVeer brand as well as their individual brands.

Salman co-produced and distributed the movie. Ofcourse he would walk away with the most money. Why is the producer upset? He should have locked a better script and should have put his foot down when Salman started doing charity work, by giving work to all the jobless and talentless people in his circle.
