@admin I always meant to clarify this from you. Was that blind about ARB and RK hooking up during ADHM shooting a real blind. I always belived it was fake because of the timing of its release was suspicious. The blind was released during the promotion of the movie not when the actual shooting (and alleged fling) was ongoing. ADHM shooting started late 2015 and wrapped up early 2016. Whoever the source was, waited till late 2016 (when promotion was ongoing ) to release this blind. How convinient to release such a blind when the pr team of the movie was hyping up the chemistry between ARB and RK.

Admin, I always wanted to ask you this and was waiting for a post on Kat to happen. Before I start, I’m not trying to accuse you, it’s just my observation and I’m curious to know the reason for different standards for birds of same feathers.
Katrina and Karishma apparently had a similar life on some grounds.
Both had to sacrifice themselves, their body and dignity to make it big in career and to keep their family well. Took up responsibility of family at young age, did everything perhaps their mother guided them to, to make a living.
Fell in love with wrong people.
Almost reached the altar with a man they loved but got thrown out bz of their past.
Amazing sister to siblings, made it easy for them at their own expense.
Suffered physical abuse at the hands of husband/ lover.
Called gold diggers for life.
But despite similar conditions of life, I’ve seen you sympathizing with Karishma’s fate while being judgemental of Kat. Maybe the difference of attitude is bz Kat is rude and mean while Karishma has matured or sweetened with time. Or is there any other reason?
Mind you, I’m not a Kat fan, I don’t like her at all, just feel bad for her past. No one deserves such a life. And this is not to put you down Admin, I’m genuinely curious to know.
Karishma was a different case altogether. When her mum left her dad, the whole Kapoor family abandoned them. It’s more of her mother’s mistake because she pushed her to do the things she did. There are more decent ways to earn money but it seems her mother was hell-bent on pissing off the Kapoors by making Karishma the first female Kapoor to join films. Even the financial demands to the ex and the current one have been from her mother.
We have grown up watching Karishma and have noticed that she seems to be the type who is happy with what she has. Even now, she is not working in Bollywood but she’s happy being here and there, taking care of her kids – minding her own business.
The difference you mentioned between these two is true. Kat has an attitude problem. Maybe it’s the result of her upbringing, who knows? But that doesn’t excuse her behaviour as an adult. Kat is smart and sometimes even conniving. Karishma worked on her craft and was known to be a talented actress, she improved over time. She went from dancing on the streets with Govinda to playing a princess in Zubeidaa. But Katrina? We all know how far she has reached with her talent. It was all thanks to a well-made up pure/innocent/sati-savitri image and good luck. You can see how well Kat played the game due to the vast difference on how she appeared onscreen when she was with Salman and after they broke-up.
Kat might have had a bad childhood, but according to her, it was good. As soon she came back to the UK, she was free and on her own, so all her decisions to do whatever was hers. Maybe it was the environment that she grew up that pushed her to make these choices. This is another difference between her and Karishma. Karishma had no choice, she was pretty much controlled.
To this day, Kat is playing the PR game. She always has a few tricks on her sleeve. It’s quite something! Everyone thought she would be out, but she is still here.

I had been thinking in similar lines. I don’t like Katrina coz Ranbir cheated on Deepika with her ( and I abhor cheaters/couple-breakers and I love Deepika, though not blindly) and she can be unnecessarily rude at times. But if you look at her situation, she has also had some tough life before she entered bollywood, and this should not be a source of maligning that person coz she maybe did it all to support her family at that point (though I might be entirely wrong). I also sympathise with her coz I always felt that even if her friendship with Alia was PR-drama, she had probably done it to gain some popularity back. All this turned out to be a situation of being pushed under the bus/backstabbing and only a very thick-skinned person shall not be affected by this.
Kat may have got a film deal or something with this, but I feel bad for her as in all this drama her life has become a mockery. I know she used/uses Salman et al, but at least Kat-Salman did not fling dirt about each other’s past in public. And as a person generally unfavourable of Kat, you know what would make me somewhat admire her? Not to do the same with Ranbir. I hope she becomes the bigger person in this fiasco, shows all these people the finger (metaphorically) and try best to rise professionally (most preferably without Salman’s help but whatever). The best comeback at these people would be to become a worthy professional competitor to Aloo. If Deepika can be a Phoenix, why not Katrina?

@naughtytrini please don’t get me wrong, but I know several people who will run back to people they thoroughly despise/ have had a major showdown with in the past under dire circumstances. People like you and me are lucky enough that we have never faced such circumstances (and I on my part would HAVE never done this, it goes completely opposite to my ‘tarbiyat’) but given that Bollywood is such a murky place, some people believe it is their family’s only sustenance and have to resort to it. I would not be surprised if Kat is doing all the Salman charade (which is extremely clever imo) just to secure her sister’s career and has 0 feelings for him. As long as she is not throwing anyone’s reputation under the bus (which again I don’t know if she has already done, I hope I am right here). I am not saying what she is doing with Salman is right. They will always have a soft spot for all of Salman’s girlfriends, especially Kat because she was there for him. Salman treated her badly before she left him for Ranbir. Plus, they know her really well since she was pretty much living with him.

If kat was so evil he would distance himself from her but unfortunately for you he hasn’t and neither has Arpita or Alvira who regularly go out for dinner together or Arpita who captions her pic with Katrina as LA familia, so next time you should also ask Arpita and salman why haven’t they cut off “user” Katrina from their lives.

It’s part of their contract. Producers set up a separate budget for promotions’ use.

Yes, promotions are part of movie signing contract…but JJ was postponed for so many years and movie had many release dates that were moved…the original contract will not hold good…in the sense…Katrina had every right to not allot dates for JJ promotions because the release date has been postponed too many times. She can even ask ” what is in it for me ? i have other commitments…in fact she gave dates for baar baar dekho first than JJ…that to after break up… am pretty sure Kat negotiated something to promote and complete shooting JJ…atleast i hope she did.
