Shahid Kapoor talks about what we were thinking on him judging Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

Last season, just before he tied the knot, Shahid Kapoor was announced as one of the judges of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. It seems to us that these days TV producers are just putting a celebrity here and there on their show. For Shahid, it’s alright because he did study dancing with Shiamak Davar and is a great dancer. But wouldn’t it be better if they had choreographers judge any dance show?

Why actors, who themselves were trained by choreographers? Actors will act all nice and can’t be truthful, as in mean, to the contestant because at the end of the day, they need their audience when their films release in theatres. As for Shahid, he said that he found it difficult to criticise anyone. We wonder why since he never had any problem criticising his exes in front of them!

It’s only TRP that the producers are interested in, not finding and supporting real talent. This season, they have Jacqueline Fernandez as one of the judges. You get what we are saying now? Anyways, Shahid gave an interview where he said that he was not the right choice to judge ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.

I felt I was a misfit as a judge on the show. I loved hosting the show for those few episodes I did. But when you have such talented dance gurus sitting, it becomes very awkward for me to judge anyone. I don’t think I am that big yet.
