As in, he’s not afraid of the upcoming Diwali clash involving both of their films, ‘Shivaay’ and ‘Ae Dil Hain Mushkil’ respectively. The press is probably wondering whether the clash is a safe step considering how badly it went for Hrithik Roshan, who thought his movie would stand up against Akshay Kumar’s film.
Nevertheless, Ajay was asked about his film and KJo’s film and his response showed that he’s quite confident about his product, which is a film that he directed himself. Now, we all have to wait and see what KJo’s response will be, considering he’s good friends with Ajay’s wife, Kajol. Check out how Ajay is confident in ‘Shivaay’ releasing with ‘Ae Dil Hain Mushkil’.
Ajay Devgan Interview
Ajay Devgan on ‘Shivaay’ clashing with ‘Ae Dil Hain Mushkil’ this Diwali
I’m looking forward to it, but I don’t have to prepare for anything. I don’t waste my time thinking about anybody else’s film. I want to concentrate on my film because, eventually, it’s the product that speaks. Why break my concentration? I’m only concerned about what I’m making.
Ajay on why he wants to release his film on Diwali
There are only a few festivals and so many films. People are not getting dates to release their films, so you need some more holidays. Of course, it’s better that films don’t clash, but there is no choice. When I announced Shivaay, nobody had announced their film. The ADHM announcement came after us. But I guess, it’s fair enough if they want to cash in on a good day. In fact, I spoke to the people at Fox Star and showed concern over why two films have to clash the same day and if we could sort it out. But they didn’t want to listen, so that’s their choice.
