We waited for multiple famous publications to put it up first and now that they all have, it’s clear that Beyonce’s Lemonade has been named the best music album of 2016. Ironically, Lemonade is the only full music album we have listened to. Know why? Because of all the hype surrounding it when Beyoncé released its visual on HBO. It was very impressive and quite artistic. It must take a lot for an artist to put out all the videos of the songs on their album without the album even releasing first. All Beyoncé did was sing ‘Formation’ at the Super bowl in February 2016 out of the blue. Her fans eagerly awaited the release or at least announcement of her upcoming album and all she did was let out on Instagram in April 2016 that something was coming up on HBO in a week (April 23rd). When Lemonade made its debut on HBO, it made history. Not only did it give the fans creativity to launch hundreds of Memes surrounding it, it also sparked a Beehive outrage of finding out who ‘Becky with the good hair’ is. That was the only thing that made us interested in finding out more about Lemonade. You can’t deny that it’s all genius. What artist in today’s day and age will be secure enough to release an album without marketing or at least, publicity? Beyoncé thinks she can and she did. Speaking of Lemonade, it’s not all the hype and talk that made it a successful album. Lemonade is an album with great songs. As you listen to it, you find yourself changing your favourite song from time to time. Since Beyoncé’s music will now only be released on Tidal first, here are a couple of music videos from the album. After months of its release on her husband’s Tidal, Amazon also has Lemonade.
Give it a listen if you haven’t yet.
