Everyone has been waiting for Katie Holmes to spill the beans on Tom Cruise and that whole Scientology cult. Sadly though, in order to get out there’s a huge chance she signed a disclosure that prevents her from talking about her time with Tom or Scientology. But the joke remains on Tom Cruise, who has done so many ‘Mission Impossible’ films and his own wife managed to pull one on him in real life and he had no idea. Still, Katie Holmes continued her life as a single mother to her daughter Suri and continued working in Hollywood. This whole divorce and Scientology thing has taken a toll on her, well mostly on her looks. We can understand why since Scientology doesn’t leave the people, who ran away from them. We know she was followed because she called the cops on them, but there’s a huge chance she was also harassed. Anyways, this month marked the debut of Katie’s ‘All We Had’. It’s a film she directed and in an interview with the New York Times, Katie spoke about what it was like directing this film and how much Suri means to her. She was also asked if she got married quietly. These rumours with Jamie Foxx refuse to die down. And for some reason, there’s only one candid picture of them together and hundreds of news items about them being together or breaking up. One thing about Katie Holmes’ interviews, she’s always polite and decent. She speaks so lovingly of Suri, most probably to make it up to her because her father hasn’t bothered to see her for the last 3 years or so. Apparently, Scientology prevents Tom Cruise from seeing his daughter because she stays with her mother and her mother was the one, who got her away from the cult.

I’m the youngest of five, I have three older sisters, obviously I’m a mom, and I feel comfortable with telling female relationship stories because I’ve been surrounded by so many women my whole life.

I liked that it was a mother-daughter story but that the relationship was unconventional in that it’s more like sisters, and they’re two survivors on the road. It had a quality of hope and healing that I really responded to — about people who falter but are resilient.

I knew that it was going to be very intense, and I had my notebooks of acting notes and directing notes, and the first day I just directed. You do fumble and make mistakes. But I came out of it inspired to do it again.

It was my first film, and I want her to always know that she’s the inspiration behind everything, and so hopefully it means something as she gets older. Just to let her know how important she is.

I try to make our world very much an environment that’s just all about being a kid without too much of Hollywood coming into that. And I just enjoy it. Honestly I think that there are so many books and opinions about how to be a great mom, and you have good days and bad days, and sometimes you do great and sometimes you could have done better. But I have to say I’m really enjoying having a 10-year-old. She’s a remarkable person.
