You already know that this movie star actor and actress couple split last year. Would you like some exclusive insight into what was going on just before the split? Of course you do!

She was venting to a friend about how they actually did go to couples therapy but that the therapy hadn’t worked.

A lot of their problems had to do with ego and being equals and respecting each other’s work.

She feels like she was having a really successful career at the start of the relationship (and was maybe even more successful than him). However, after they became a couple, she was expected to slow down her career to be a mom, but he kept taking movie after movie. He was working a lot more than her and was having more success than her.

It also really bothered her that they when they were a couple, all people wanted to talk to her about was him and his work and their relationship, like her work didn’t matter any more.

Not that it was bad to have him working all the time, because she liked it when he was away filming. They were both just happier being apart. She was really relieved when the divorce was announced.
