Govinda in an interview where he complains about everything in Bollywood

We have introduced what we thought was what a bad Bollywood trailer looked like and it had Govinda in it. The trailer is his latest movie and it was released on his birthday, where a lot of reporters got to ask Govinda about a lot of things. Though, we have to say that there are some things which he said himself without any instigation.

After this interview by Indian Express was released, a lot of people that was talked about by Govinda went on Twitter to clear things out. For starters, Salman Khan shared Govinda’s trailer on his Twitter and went on to invite him on Bigg Boss. Karan Johar went on to say that it will be an honour for someone like Govinda to appear on his show.

Well since he got Jackie Shroff on his show, he can get Govinda as well. It’s like either they are scared that Govinda will spill their secrets or they truly like him and decided to make him happy. We don’t know what went wrong between Salman and Govinda. Govinda seems to think that it’s because people liked him better in ‘Partner’, that’s why Salman was advised against working with him in the future. Govinda said the same thing about Amitabh Bachchan.

As to why Govinda is not doing more good roles, there are lots of things to blame here. For one, he’s a huge believer in this whole astrology thing. He won’t do anything without consulting with his guru or something. He even refused to wear a wig for many years because his guru said it was bad for him. He also would come on the sets at the ‘right’ time, making everyone one wait for him. The thing with celebrities, who say it like it is, they won’t tell you the whole truth.

If you are thinking that Govinda has no secrets or scandals, well then what was the whole episode with Rani Mukherjee about? So far, neither one of them has spoken about it. What about the times when he was on top in the industry and used that to his advantage? Or the fact that he used to come and go on the sets and started to develop the reputation of being the most difficult star to work with? But aside from these topics, Govinda talks about his dislikes in Bollywood, including camps and all that.

    Govinda Interview

    Govinda complains about Karan Johar

If you see, Karan Johar never called me for any of his interviews. He has called comedians, singers, actors, newcomers and everyone else. A time comes when people think if we have to remove an actor from the hero category, you need to start a comedy awards show. And you start a Karan Johar show in which Govinda should never be seen. Throw parties in which Govinda should never be seen. Many such things have happened with me. So I wouldn’t want any newcomers to be Govinda. The tough times that I have seen and which Amitabh Bachchan has also seen is not everyone’s cup of tea to bear. He must have said that it would be a matter of national respect for him if he calls Govinda, but he is releasing Varun’s (Dhawan) film just a week after my film. He shows that he’s very humble and innocent, but woh mujhe David (Dhawan) se zyaada jealous and zyaada khatarnak lagta hai. He has never called me in 30 years, he doesn’t see actors who are not the part of his group and doesn’t even say a hello, I doubt. He’s not that kind-hearted. It’s a well-planned and smart move by Karan that he’s releasing his film a week after mine. Mujhe woh kabhi seedha nahi lagta hai.

Govinda talks about camps in Bollywood

These are well educated boys. They have an aim in mind and have brought camps with them. Take a look at all award functions. A person belonging to one camp is giving the award, person belonging to another camp is receiving it, a third one is giving a speech while the fourth one from the same camp is sitting in the audience and clapping. So camps and classes have become important. Even if you are not into politics, you get into it. I have seen that these padhe likho ki team are different. They are lucky. Lekin main burayi main bhi taarif karunga.

Govinda on why he’s not invited into any camps

They must have thought Govinda is not a man of our class. Not as educated as we are. What will he say in his answers? So let’s stay away from him. That’s fine. Earlier I used to feel bad about them not calling me at all. What do they think about themselves, I used to think. But then later I realised they are educated people and I am different. I will find my own path and that would be good.

Govinda on being fine with it

I have never got any big directors or producers. The songs I got were the ‘Akhiyon se goli maare’ types. I did whatever I got.

Govinda on why he didn’t stay in Salman Khan’s camp

There was no chance of me staying in Salman’s camp. I was praised in such a manner that Salman was told you shouldn’t come infront of Govinda. And such similar situations have happened with me even when I worked with Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt or Salman Khan. These people have always loved me. Finally, one actor will love another actor only only to the extent to which his own business remains unaffected. And that is not wrong. Salman has always stood by me. And when someone lends me support, I am always with him. Today however I don’t have any expectations from Salman. Because he has been told so much about me that there will not be a chance of us acting again together.

    Govinda on the younger generation

I wouldn’t want Varun Dhawan to be the next Govinda. To be a Govinda, you have to go through many trials and tribulations. You get to see the bitter truth of life. I don’t want newcomers to go through all that. Govinda is a village bred, uneducated guy who doesn’t have too much understanding of words and who has been misused a lot of times by the educated lot and who despite not being able to stand in politics, won it. All these things shouldn’t happen with amateurs.

    1. Well he is a good actor and I can find it possible that when he act with another actor , he gets the most praises but apart from that, I feel he’s just talking nonsense and acting as if he’s better. Maybe if he acted in movies often then kjo would invite him to his show. Plus the show is like shit now .

      1. He does sound like he has a massive chip on his shoulder, doesn’t he?

Can’t imagine what it’d be like to be his kid. Such an insecure dad spouting random rubbish all the time. Plus all the fucking around with Rani while they were kids.

Someone said a couple months back that he talks to his dead mom? That’s probably just a stupid rumor, though.

        1. Yes, he does talk to his mum. Actually, when men get older, that’s when they remember the parent closest to them. He’s doing the same, except he’s a bit strange about it. He has conversations with her in his van on the set and will make people wait until it’s over to go back to work.
