Govinda complains again, this time about David Dhawan

Govinda is busy promoting his upcoming film, ‘Aa Gaya Hero’, these days, which will release on February 24, 2017. It seems his idea of promotion is to complain left, right and center. He should have hired a proper PR company or manager to help him. But, we think that perhaps he could do everything himself. Since he wrote, produced and acted in this movie, he might have thought that doing promotions would be a piece of cake. The way he’s going at this promotion, he’s pissing off everyone in the industry. We are reminding him again, like we did last time, that when he was on top, he took advantage of his situation. Since he complained about David Dhawan in this interview, we are sure the day David realised he doesn’t have to depend on Govinda anymore, he must have been happy. By the way, that was when David found Salman Khan’s comic timing. Now that David has his own son, Varun Dhawan, he doesn’t need to beg or wait for any other male star to act in his films. As per David himself, he said he will only work with his son. It’s quite a far reflection from when Govinda claimed that it was David, who helped him make a comeback to Bollywood. That time, Govinda said that he just picked up the phone and called David to ask him for work and David gave him ‘Partner’ with Salman Khan. Now, he’s back to saying that David didn’t stand by him during his hard time. We won’t complain more, just check out what Govinda has to complain about.

    Govinda on David Dhawan

Govinda on David not standing by him

He worked all his life with me and Salman [Khan], and delivered many hits. He may respect me as an actor, but not as friend. I stood by him when he was down and out, but he didn’t do the same.

Govinda on what David thinks about him

He told my secretary that if there were a small role in a film, he may approach me. ‘Govinda asks a lot of unnecessary questions, I don’t wish to work with him,’ he said. I was taken aback.

Govinda on how he thinks David is jealous of him

I think the pressure of my participation in politics was getting to him. Perhaps he felt that I would become a liability. Maybe it is his nature to be jealous of those who are more successful than him. That’s the nature of the industry. Those who don’t have the ability to do well are envious of those who do. It’s best that we stay happy in our own space.

Govinda said David stole Chashme Baddoor from him

When I asked David to make the 18th film with me, he took my subject and titled it ‘Chashme Baddoor’ and cast Rishi Kapoor in it. Then I asked him to put me as a guest appearance. He didn’t do that too. After that, I didn’t meet him for some years. I kept requesting him to take at least one shot with me so that it could be my 18th film with him. But I don’t know what he had in his mind.
