Who better than Sonam Kapoor to tell us what really goes on in the head of her brother, Harshvardhan Kapoor? Who also better to speak out on losing Filmfare’s Best Debut Award when Sonam herself lost hers to Deepika Padukone? Anyways, we have been waiting for Sonam to speak about this issue and we did expect her to support her brother like she did below. We are just surprised that it has taken her this long to speak out. It’s like their father, Anil Kapoor, put a Do Not Speak order on them since this whole thing came out. That said, we can’t wait to hear what Anil Kapoor has to say about this. We know that those in defence of Harsh might say that we are criticising him without even watching his film, ‘Mirzya’, but here’s the thing, we did. It was……..too long and too slow. His whole hair growth thing on his face wasn’t working at all. We have more to say, but this is not the time and place, so let’s proceed to what Sonam has said in defence of her brother., Harsh. By the way, try not to laugh by reading the below statement.
Sonam Kapoor on her brother, Harshvardhan Kapoor
Sonam on Harsh as a person
He’s not that kind of a person. Harsh is the sweetest, gentlest, kindest soul I’ve met. And to troll him just because he made a point about the debutant’s award, is just too unfair. He was speaking out of conviction. And according to me, he was not speaking out of line.
Sonam on the failure of Harsh’s debut film ‘Mirzya’
Just because it didn’t do well, doesn’t mean all the hard work that has gone into it is nullified. Even my debut film, Saawariya, didn’t work at the box office. But I’m very proud of it. And I’m proud of what my brother did in Mirzya.
Sonam on Harsh being Diljit Dosanjh’s biggest fan
Harsh is one of Diljit Paaji’s biggest fans. Harsh’s objection was on technical not on creative grounds.
Sonam on what her father, Anil Kapoor taught them
Our father (Anil Kapoor) has always taught us to be appreciative of other actors’ works. We’ve grown up in an atmosphere where we have constantly heard other actors’ work being appreciated. Neither my brother nor I would ever feel resentful of the good work done by our colleagues.
I think she’s talking about someone else here. Not her brother. And definitely not her. Perhaps anil kapoor was teaching someone else good values.
Brother and sister….loudmouths both
