Ever since ‘Baahubali’ came out, the media and fans have been speculating about the relationship between the film series’ lead stars, Prabhas and Anushka Shetty. After all these years in the making, Prabhas has finally come out to deny that any such romantic relationship exists or existed between them.
It’s quite strange how Prabhas has managed to avoid getting married. As in, letting his family have the upper hand by choosing a girl for him. That’s what they all do in the Telugu film industry. Nagarjuna’s son is probably the only actor, who’s having a love marriage and that too, to an actress. They all get married through arranged marriage, which is arranged by the guy’s family, and it’s usually to someone from a rich family.
At 37 years old, Prabhas has managed to escape all that and we have to wonder why and how? Prabhas has finally spoken about these Anushka rumours because a local paper claimed that these two will get engaged in December this year.
According to Hindustan Times, this is what Prabhas has to say about the dating rumours:
When we first worked together we had decided that at no cost we would allow rumours of our linkup float around. We have been film friends for nine years now. We are very good friends. We have known each other for years but I admit sometimes when such stories start doing the rounds, then I too start wondering if there is, indeed, something between us. We know that we are not romantically involved. By the way, this is nothing new — when an actress works with an actor in more than one film, then people tend to make them a pair.
For those of you, who don’t know, Prabhas was in the Telugu remake of ‘Don’ titled ‘Billa’. He played Don and Anushka played Priyanka Chopra’s role in the film. The film had this very famous song called ‘Bommali’. Both of them look very different in that song, which is fair because it was years ago!
