Today’s blind item comes India.com. It’s about this new actress, whose debut film has not yet been released. Since the blind item has been written and released, we are pretty sure that we got the right OSOP Guess. We are saying this because some readers might think that this is about the other new girl, a star kid as well.
Every new kid these days thinks that diet and exercise are what it takes to be a great actor. Such a far cry from when wannabe actors used to take every lesson from horse riding, dancing, diction classes and what-not in preparing to become an actor. Jaya Bachchan once said that it’s funny how these kids do all these things, except learn how to act. Easy for her to say since she got a scholarship to the school of acting when she was just 16.
Anyways, this blind item is about this young girl, whose parents are both actors. Check it out below.

Star Kid Creates A Ruckus At A Restaurant For Not Being Served Low Cal Food
The star kid has been in buzz ever since her debut movie was announced. In fact, her first outing in Bollywood has been the most awaited one. She is giving it her all, considering that there are so many more star kids waiting in the wings. The girl has been on a crazy fitness regimen and a special diet too. But you think that has deterred her from going out with her friends for fun lunch and dinner dates, you are wrong.
A fan of the good life, this star kid is out and about in the city almost every day. She is seen frequenting a plush suburban restaurant, which is quite a favourite with celebs. The budding actress is a foodie herself but yeah she has to keep her calorie count in check. At a recent outing at her regular joint, she ordered a dish for herself. All was great until the dish made its way from kitchen to her table. All hell broke lose as this star kid realised that the restaurant didn’t serve her the low calorie version of what she ordered.
She called for the person who took her order and reprimanded him. When he pointed out that she should have been a little more specific about her order, that just blew the lid for her. All her starry tantrums were on display as she demanded to talk to the hotel management and gave the restaurant staff quite an earful. She created a ruckus and how! Other guests at the restaurant stopped eating and were just looking at her. You could see that two of her friends who were also dining with her were also embarrassed by her rudeness with the staff. And this behaviour and attitude is when she hasn’t even become a star! We are just scared to imagine what will happen after her film releases.
I kind of agree with Kali (nothing new lol) but I think this could really go 2 ways, stardom have gotten to her head and she is really a jerk, we will see the truth in her movie, no matter how they are acting you can always tell the jerks ‘am better than everybody else…am the best thing since slice bread etc’ or she is being maligned by her competition. Only time will tell.
Getting irritated with a wrong order/dish is human. Expressing that irritation politely and requesting that they get the right dish you had originally ordered, is also correct. But screaming at waitpersons or creating a scene is not ok. He/she might have made a mistake. On the other hand, the waitperson’s correct answer should be: “I’m sorry, mam, I’ll just check and bring out the right dish right away”. I’ve had many such interactions without any scenes or tantrums on either side. But I’ve witnessed many such scenes, and every time I come to India (usually twice a year), I see more and more people throwing their weight around, being ill-tempered and just horribly entitled. What’s happening to us as a society? We’ve always been very hierarchical and status-conscious, but now the VIP and celebrity culture is out of control (and why are these star kids VIPs to begin with? What extraordinary things have they achieved so far?) and there’s been an ugly shift in public behaviour, I feel…
I always wondered how could she date a jerk like harshvarshan kapoor but now i know
Bcuz if bhavesh joshi becomes a superhit he will become the next hot star. And sara will be all over him.
I myself find staff in service industry, hospitality industry are not not good. 2 Golden rules : the customer is always right: & Never say NO to a customer. A customer does expect to be treated well ands served well. Why else should we go out and eat.
She’s not even that good looking. U find prettier girls in DU. And shes a jerk too?
I’ll play the devil’s advocate here. If I was at a restaurant and ordered a specific low-calorie dish, and the waiter did not bring the right order, I’d call for the waiter and (gently) reprimand him too e.g. “Bhaisaab maine bina makkhan ke pav bhaji order kiya tha. Yeh aap kya laye hain?” (“Mister, I ordered a pav bhaji without butter. What have you brought to me?). As someone who has worked in the service/restaurant industry, I also will say that it was wrong for the waiter to put the blame on the customer instead of apologizing and bringing the right order. So if the waiter retorts and says “Sir/Madam apko aur specific hona chahiye” (Sir/Madam you should have been more specific), I’d probably be a little upset too instead of sitting like a mouse and eating the wrong meal. Literally, a waitér’s job is to ask questions and bring the right order. Back-talking to the customer is bad practice. That being said, I wouldn’t blow my top and start screeching for the highest management on duty… Unless the waiter was being persistently rude.
I have to say, there has been quite a rush of negative blind items about Sara lately. Whether it is her taking too long to get ready on sets, throwing tantrums or otherwise. Meanwhile, there hasn’t been a single one about Jhanvi. Google “Sara Ali Khan tantrums” and there’s a huge list. Google “Jhanvi Kapor tantrums” and the first result is Sara. We all know who Jhanvi’s Godfather is. I would assume that it’s his doing, but what is puzzling is that Sara’s stepmother and father are his besties. Unless Sara really is a brat and Jhanvi is just exceptionally well-behaved.
Yes, true. Dealing with waiters and customer service people is not easy, but it all depends on the way you deal with them. Personally, we believe that there’s no use to get rude and misbehave in situations like these. But, who knows what truly happened in her case. Actually, starving can put you in a bad mood as is eating moderately especially if you are not used to it. Either way, this blind item must have been leaked by the waiters or those, who saw this happen. Janhvi just started shooting, so just wait and see what happens.
***I would like to pre-face this saying that I have not lived in the States for even a minute of my life. My comment was in reference to Sara studying at Columbia University which is in the states. I do not need to belong to any country to stand up against aggressive and rude behaviour.***
Absolutely Admin. There are people who do get “hangry’ at restaurants (Myself included). But to go thermo-nuclear on a poor employee isn’t the solution. I think there was a similar item sometime ago that Sara lost her shit at some people at the gym because their credit/debit machine wasn’t working. I think after living in the States, the incompetence in the Indian service sector must be frustrating. There is a big attitude of “Jugaad” and that “Sab kuch chalta hain” I dread going to Indian banks because everything is so disorganized. But maybe her bad behaviour is a pattern. Her dad is a big diva himself. Who knows?
Ah, yes. Tell us about it. Probably the thing that pisses off more is waiting more than 10 minutes at McDonalds! But we do understand and not make the thing a big deal. Like you said, it’s about where you come from too right? Her dad too is like that, so nothing surprising with the daughter being like that too. At the end of the day, she too is in a line of work where she HAS to listen and take someone’s orders. Compared to her and a waiter, there’s a lot more money on her so the risk of messing up the order is higher. 😉
If you go to a particular restaurant, and you love that restaurant and want to continue to go there, I would not mess with the folks that handle your food. If she was that hungry, she could have opted for a low cal appetizer or something or just salad till the food came. But then again, being the daughter of a brat she must be having the genes herself. Remember Saif breaking the nose of that NRI from South Africa in a restaurant and then having a case aganst himself for it? She’s gotten that DNA. Again, dunno what happened. Maybe waiter was an asshole too. who knows
As for her living in the US, waiting staff there too make mistakes as they do the world over. She wouldn’t dare behave like this in a US restaurant because she would be thrown out in under 2 mins plus have the police called on her. Plus, the cops wouldn’t appreciate students and other temporary visitors behaving like that. All the born with a silver spoon, entitled , egotistical brats of India are on their best behaviour in Europe and US bcoz they know their shit isn’t gonna be tolerated there.
