It seems that this director/producer has landed himself in some hot soup. Either that or he really enjoys the position that he is in. Most likely he enjoys that position because it’s a position of power. He’s the only one in B-Town, who has taken the handle or rather the trouble of launching all these star kids. He has already launched a few, is currently launching another 2 and we are sure there will be more to come in the future.
What does this mean? All these mummies will fight to get a spot for their son or daughter. It’s almost like a school admission. All these ladies now want to get the fame and popularity that they see the mothers of other star kids get. Fame is such a drug, we tell you. Like if these people need more drugs in their system!
Right now, we think it’s safe to say that these parents want this director/producer to launch their kid to get that launching platform only. We are sure that as far as the financial situation of the film is concerned, they are most likely going to chip in because this director’s production house is not stable financially to support all of these projects. Obviously, they will be silent investors. At the rate that things are going, these kids will not even want to finish school to sign their first film. It’s bad enough that they are out there on social media posing in all kinds of ways in short dresses. Anyways, jet’s just wait and see what happens and who will win this senior cat fight.

Rumour has it that there’s a cold war brewing between two mommies,both regulars of Bandra’s vast ladies-who-lunch brigade, over the attention of one of Bollywood’s top producers. Turns out that the ladies, who move in the same circles as the big shot producer, are trying every trick in the book to get him to launch their—currently teenage—daughters in one of his future ventures. Both ladies are married to former actors, and insiders say their husbands don’t seem as invested in this mission to snag favours from the producer. But the women are determined, one source reveals, and their own friendship has fallen by the wayside as a result.

Either contouring in full force on these girls’ faces or they have already gone through the knife. The one in red looks like Jhanvi after all her surgeries and the other one looks so snobbish. She has that forever more looking down her nose at people facial expression. I wouldn’t pay my money to go see either if they ever snag a movie. I said it about Sara, everybody was saying how talented she is and she have her parents genes and she will be the next best thing since sliced bread but she is proving otherwise. Sridevi daughters are also in the same boat. Suhana is already a brat and she thinks because of her daddy she will make it big but she is already a goner since it is her mother who dont have a single talent in her body who is coaching her. Gauri and Suzanne is such fakes, believe in themselves that they are the best interior designers ever. Jeez, one day I accidentally found myself watching a youtube vid of Suzanne decorating for a party at her home. Her talents includes putting multitudes of candles all over the place and writing on chalk boards the names of the fingerfoods she is serving :-0 such inspirations!!!
Seriously the only star kid that I hope will try his hand in acting is Twinkle’s son. I know he is not craving the spotlight as his goal is to be a chef but he is so down to earth. Just hope if he do decide, they dont pair him with any of the above snobs.

HAHAHAHA These two look nothing like actress material. Wearing short clothes, having a fair skin tone, long hair, and size zero bods is NOT acting. Pleaseee when will these nepo kids and their moms and dads understand that. In few years time, I won’t be watching any Bollywood films at all. AT ALL. Ugh!!!! Its overridden with Nepo kids, I mean kahan kahan se aa jaate hai???? And that hairy horny weasel, Ahaan pandey?? Seriously!! Ok I have vented now. Gosh!!!!!
I’m honestly just waiting on an interview to listen to the Jhanvi and Sara (and any other star kid) to see how they articulate themselves, how smart and personable they seem before bothering to invest my interest in them

What about the girls themselves? They don’t have to dance to their mommies’ tunes. They can choose to do something else. But looks like they can’t resist the lure of a glamorous lifestyle and all that adulation and attention. And since they are already in the inner circle its easy and requires no hard work. Its disgusting to see them flaunting their bodies with vacant expressions on their faces, showing all they have even before they have been launched .

That’s sadly true. At an age when their youth will make their face glow, they pile on the make up. Wear skimpy clothes designed only to reveal. No wonder they look like that.

Every generation needs a star where close family members can get invites to special film parties, awards etc etc. Kapoors are relevant through their star kids. Sridevi was yesteryear star, Boney a flop producer…Jhanvi-Khushi have to be next gen stars for them to stay relevant in BW.
Bachchans are still living off AB sr…AB gr is flop, once AB sr is gone Abhi-Ash have to rely on their contacts and good relations they develop with film fraternity. Their relationship with Ambanis is their social capital.
See how Deols are out of race….none of them managed to stay relevant. You will find examples everywhere.
These people love to be in limelight especially if you were once a star and moved in social circles that are for stars and star kids. If you want to continue to do so…you should be part of successful film family in some way(Producer, star spouse, successful producer-distributor, PARENTS of stars) etc.
I agree with your comments Kiran but I disagree where you included Aish name insinuating that Aish is only somebody because of Ab snr. I could understand you saying that about Abhi but Aish have had already made a name for herself long before she married into the Bachchan family. I remember quarreling with a collegue of mines who had said that Aish married Abhi to get the Bachchan name and be popular. Aish was already popular without the Bachchan name and she wasn’t popular because she was Salman’s girlfriend either.

To be in BW elite circles in future…if you want to be part of these circles even after your stardom fades.Look how kapoors are always in these circles…because there is always atleast one person from each generation who is a star. Ab Sr ‘s contacts and reach in BW is huge. With Aish fading career and Abhi’s never exisiting one along with new found bad ties with Yash Raj which Abhitabh took years to cultivate.
I know Aishwarya Rai was a Big star much before she became Bachchan Bahu.
Oh, okay, now I understand and yes it is true. No matter how big Aish was without the Bachchans it is true that when her career fades away, without the Bachchan’s name and that family background, she would fade away too. As much as I love Aish, I really have to give Jack his jacket.
I know it is a shallow world out there, but can’t they all for once take a step back and think if this is the only avenue the girls want to pursue? Or rather have to pursue? Do they not realize that beauty can take you only so far, but a good presence of mind, intelligence and a kind heart will take you to far higher places? ( Have you frickin’ forgotten Bill Gates, JK Rowling and other worthy people in this world?)
You actors of all the people have most resources on your feet. Use them wisely. Don’t be narrow-minded that ‘our kids should only be in this industry, coz fame is life’. I actually feel sad that Sara Ali Khan had the rare opportunity of studying at Columbia and make something great out of her life, but instead turned to acting after graduating.
The actors (in my opinion) should actually take a step back and let these kids try to stand on their own feet. They should not be given a velvet cushion to stand on and fall back on. The kids should, in fact, pursue the producer themselves if they are that interested in a career in films. If at the age of 17, you are not able to take independent decisions or need momma’s help to get work, life is going to be brutal to you (that is what it seems to me). And you cannot accomplish anything if you do not struggle to reach there at least once.
And for once, what happened to college?! They would be shocked to know just how many kids out there just dream of a quality college education. And here it is on their doorstep, and they are throwing it away.
i do agree with the gtn a stable education and gtn a degree first..but if we think about it..arent we all influenced by what we see around ourselves growing up..like for instance if some kids who get to see their parents as doctors,grow up wanting to becoming one..although not always,a lot of times doctors engineers artists while growing up get inspired looking at their parents/extended family..so imagine a kid being brought up in an environment whr everyone recognises their parents and gives them special attention..its only natural they want to do it too..and why cant they take favours..recommendations work in every place..every where..when they have all the right contacts its only wise to make use of them..this happens in every field..forget jobs to even get a thathkal train ticket it helps to have connections..a fricking ticket..!!!! but i hope these star kids are talented and passionate about the art form and not just the fame alone..if theyr not,they cant survive for long irresp of the backing they have and the influence..

I agree; children do get influenced by what they see happening in their environment. And parents recommending per se also seems fine. But the way these actors are marketing their children makes me wonder if 1) did the kids even have their say? 2) If they didn’t and they aren’t fine with it, why don’t they take a stance? 3) if they didn’t but are planning to pursue a career in acting, why not approach KJo with a proposal themselves? If they are passionate, they should do the talking, not their mums. KJo’s instagram already shows that he knows the girls all too well. And official recommendations are based on talent, not on the family you are from.
I know Alia Bhatt might not be the best example for this, but even she had to give an audition. Her parents were not marketing her this way (to my knowledge)
Abhishek in his 40s relies on his dad to get him roles and u want 17yr old girls to be independent and not rely on their parents?? Cmon dude this is India. Nothing here is on merit. Its either caste based or nepotism or wealth based. For example ambanis niece is the editor at large at Huffington post India. I doubt if she knows even abc of publishing. And ppl criticize reservation system as if everything else in india is decided by merit! Bloody hypocrites.
Who said I appreciate Abhishek relying on his father? I am just saying that the mums mentioned in the blind are steering their children in just one direction of profession and that it should be the girls themselves and not their mums doing the hard work if they are that keen to get into Bollywood.
I equally abhor magnates using their power to establish their prodigies in industries while there are clearly more deserving candidates for the same position. You should see my dad vehemently opposing the way Mukesh Ambani is marketing his son Anant (who imo seems to have a bit underconfident way of speaking for someone studying in an Ivy League college). And it sadly happens in government positions too.
I believe we just say more about this because we have kept these stars on a pedestal.
Why do these women ever bother? We all know that Suhana is going to get ALL the attention when she’s ready to debut. She’s going to get the royal treatment from papa Johar. Alia who? They’re fighting over peanuts.
But I’m more curious to know whether this competitiveness has damaged the relationship between the girls themselves ?
I want more people to join the fight, it will be fun.. When the dhadak movie fails to make a mark, then other momies will give a second thought…
