His acting is average, but scripts were funny though highly misogynistic and toxic.
Though unfortunately yes, that’s the only way outsiders can make their way by thrusting themselves on biggie’s faces and boot licking them in hope of getting work with the big league. He has understood the game of visibility, fans, wriggling into the big league. Be it SRK, Amitabh, Ranveer (closest to Kartik on this alltime-pleaser behavior) all do this. Sad but true.
I disagree wt Admin on very less things.. but here I feel Admin is being too harsh on Karthik Aryan! My two cents, the costume ( a friends friend) person on Kites said, HR was in fact with KR during Kites..and maybe all the way up til Krissh.
KR had a huge crush on HR. This industry works on give and take. KR got carried away thinking it was real.. becos thats how in love she was with HR. Thats why they say love is blind. But HR has been doing this for a while now. He just messed with the force of nature, KR!!
Some elements are fabricated from both parties. But there was an affair/intimacy/relationship ( whatever you wanna call it between the two)
About RK- I think RK made the first move on KR, and she probably sent him a nude to spite HR.
But i always sensed RK has had the hots for KR. He likes to go after successful sexy women and then tame them to dance to his tunes. During KWK, even Ranveer brought up KR, and suggested theyd be fire, and RK would love it!

Also, bollywood-politics association goes long way back in India. Right from Amitabh fighting on congress ticket to Hema malini, Jaya bacchan being active in politics. Liaisons outside public eyes are aplenty. Thackeray-Bendre association was well-known.

But disagree that taking money for this is just like a brand endorsement. Taking money/offering money for endorsement or votes in election season is actually not allowed by electoral commission. Plain n simple. I bet many parties have done it before but it is still a grave offence.

There is also a news item/sting operation about how actors have been caught on camera taking money ..lakhs of rupees for political endorsement. Vidya Balan I think was one of the few actors who said no but rest Vivek Oberoi and many others have said yes and negotiated. Pinkvilla has an item on it. This is the reason why any proximity between politics and Bollywood makes me so anxious..and I think should make us all uncomfortable. Vote for whoever you want but pls keep films free from all this…I dont want to know your personal political affiliation when I watch you on screen.

To answer your question on the Bermuda Triangle of Bollywood. We meant to do a post on this, but maybe later on. So, we had this video on save from some time back and we recently watched it while clearing the hard drive. This was an interview of KR being done to promote ‘Rajjo’, which was being released a month after ‘Krrish’ released. KR was being praised in this interview for her role in ‘Krrish’. She was still in a happy state then and spoke at length about the Roshans and how they pursued her for this role.
She mentioned a lot of things that she later said when this whole drama happened. To us, that interview made some things clear. We have this theory that the Roshans were chasing KR to do this role, which is true. So, HR had to play nice and friendly, his daddy, of course, encouraged that. This is nothing new.
Back then during ‘Kites’, HR was getting close to Barbara and his father encouraged him at that, which made Sussanne super mad when she landed on the sets and discovered the closeness between Barbara and HR.
Since Rakesh Roshan was chasing KR for months for this role, he and HR must have made KR feel at home. They even invited her and her family to their home and again asked her to do the film. They wanted her this bad. KR already had a crush and she must have thought HR was also interested, which explains the emails and the personal things he told her. She thought she was in a relationship but the Roshans were just using her to be in their film. As soon as the film was done and released, so did their relationship. KR still had no idea until he sent her that notice.
This is the case with KR, people use her and when she realizes that, she flips off and goes cray-cray. She is not from the industry so obviously, she is not aware of how things work. When she found out Ajay Devgan used her also, she retaliated by outing their affair.
Similarly, HR has this pattern of being extremely nice and going out of his way like he did with Barbara when he supported her brother’s music career. As soon as ‘Kites’ was released and flopped, both bro & sis went back to where they came from.
Remember the other cases of the girls saying HR gave them his email add and asked them to get in touch for advice? It’s quite similar to what KR said. Usually girls are quiet and back down like these two girls did, but KR?! This explains why she sent him that explicit SMS after he told her sis it wasn’t him who was emailing her.
