So much has been said about this famous director’s next film. What is he working on, who will he be working with and all that? Now, it’s funny that there’s just so much news about this.
It could be normal or…It could be that they are testing the waters just to see people’s reactions. If you remember, not too long ago this filmmaker was called out in the #MeToo movement for his unwanted advancements toward an assistant, who worked on his sets.
This filmmaker is not working on this biopic by himself, he has been chosen to work on this biopic. Isn’t that something?!
Check out the blind item from Mumbai Mirror.
Bollywood Blind Item
A major movie about a leading sports person has just been announced. The film is said to be produced by a big-ticket studio and is rumoured to be directed by a blockbuster filmmaker. While the film has ‘superhit’ written all over it, thanks to its overriding theme, it has already run into a spot of trouble.
One of the subject’s sons has sent a legal notice to the studio saying he has not given the rights to the film, and only his sibling has. Oh well, these matters have a remarkable way out settling out of court.

Major Movie: A biopic on legendary cricketer Lala Amarnath
Studio: Fox Star
Filmmaker: Rajkumar Hirani
A source close to the filmmaker revealed, “Rajkumar Hirani has been approached with 2 films based on cricket: a Fox Star film, the larger-than-life Lala Amarnath biopic that has been written by Piyush Gupta and Neeraj Singh, while another cricket story is also being written by Abhijat Joshi. In the meanwhile, we hear Rajkumar Hirani himself is working on a web series and few other scripts. Let’s wait and watch which one goes on floor first!”
The news comes a day after Rajkumar Hirani along with several leading directors and writers of Bollywood met Netflix CEO Reed Hastings. The delegation also included Farah Khan, Anubhav Sinha, Vikramaditya Motwane, Anand L Rai, Vishal Bharadwaj, Juhi Chaturvedi, Monica Shergill, Ashwini Iyer Tiwari and Ashish Singh.
Poverty and unemployment has increased. These so called biopic rights for making money acts as windfall gain for families of achievers. But now biopics aren’t that honest anymore, all of them are whitewashing of image. Stars conveniently ignore Metoo culprits for the sake of hit movies. This is because they are also themselves involved in it. Some small fishes get caught and big fishes aren’t caught. This never ending process goes on and on.. .
