Update #1: Based on the poster below, Time To Dance will be released on Netflix.
Update #2: Teaser included below.
If you remember, this movie was announced more than 3 years ago. It was meant to be the debut film of Isabelle Kaif, who is Katrina Kaif’s sister, and Sooraj Pancholi, who is a Salman Khan protégé but best known as the late Jiah Khan’s ex-boyfriend. It was around that time as well that Katrina also signed ABCD 2 opposite Varun Dhawan. She later stepped out of the film due to issues unknown and opted to sign Salman’s ‘Bharat’ instead once PC stepped out.
Teaser of Time To Dance:
Here are the first official posters of ‘Time to Dance’, starring Isabelle and Sooraj.
The film was shot in the UK but after the shoot was complete, it was rumored that Salman was not happy when he saw the edit. He decided that shelving the film would be wise, at that time, and then went on to give Isabelle another film to make her Bollywood debut opposite his brother-in-law.
This project never saw the light of the day but last year, Salman announced that he is producing and acting in a remake of a famous film opposite his BIL, Aayush.
The news of ‘Time to Dance’s release comes as a surprise since just two days ago, there was an article that Isabelle’s debut was going to be this new film that she is shooting for opposite Salman-wannabe Pulkit Samrat titled ‘Suswagatam Khushaamadeed’.
It could be that Isa and her people had no idea that Salman would suddenly decide to release this film. Maybe they edited it to his liking this time. Isabelle has been waiting patiently to make her debut on the big Bollywood screen for years now. Salman has so far stepped up to help her make her entry. He also directed the Canadian-English film she was a part of years ago.
Bear in mind that even though the release of the film has been announced, it has not been mentioned whether it will be releasing in theaters or on a streaming platform. Since the release date is in two weeks, there’s a huge chance it has been sold to an OTT platform. Even the trailer has not been released yet, which makes all of this look so sudden. But knowing Salman’s promise earlier this year that he will help out theater owners and release his films there instead on a streaming platform, it could be that he will release this one too in cinemas since it’s his production.
While Isabelle has been patiently waiting for her debut, Sooraj already worked on two films. He was last seen in the BBC documentary, ‘Death in Bollywood’. We watched it and it showed both sides of the Jiah Khan story. Her case is the same as the late SSR’s case, the family pointing fingers at someone else when they themselves knew of the trouble brewing in their backyard.
Anyways, let’s wait and see the trailer of ‘Time to Dance’ to know more about this film.
