Aryan Khan gets a clean chit from NCB

Due to lack of sufficient evidence, Aryan Khan has been found not guilty of being in the possession of drugs.

One of the biggest scandals last year was the arrest of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, in October 2021. Aryan and his friend Arbaaz Merchant were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau as they were waiting to board a cruise in Mumbai. Aryan didn’t have any drugs on him but his friend Arbaaz was found with drugs hidden in his shoe. It was at that moment the media realized its next golden goose after Rhea Chakraborty is here!

The arrest of a big superstar, especially one who was always open to the public, became the cover story of every newspaper and the headline of every TV channel!

Here’s the official statement from NCB:

Aryan and Arbaaz spent almost a month in jail and were both released on bail. The case went on with the media hyping every little detail and every leaked info from the investigation, courtesy of the zonal director Sameer Wankhede.

Reportedly, Sameer Wankhede did not follow the rules when he busted the cruise for a drug search. The raid was not video-recorded as mandated and the drugs recovered from multiple accused arrested in the case were shown as single recovery.

Now that Aryan has been proven innocent, what about Arbaaz? He did mention that he saved the drugs for both of their consumption. Apparently, Aryan and Arbaaz told officers they were going to consume the drugs on the ship but the course dismissed that since it was just hearsay.

Arbaaz’s dad made a huge deal on his son’s friendship with Aryan. The court forbade them to meet up while and his dad told the media that Arbaaz misses his friend Aryan very much and would like to be allowed to meet him!

Wonder what dad has to say now! If his son really did have drugs on him for Aryan, then he must feel really silly now! This is what happens when you do things just to please your rich and more powerful friend!

Speaking of dad, Shah Rukh has definitely been affected by this episode. Evidently, it hit him hard. For a change, Aryan poses for the media now with his trademark no-smile and broody look but Shah Rukh feels like disgusted to even stand and pose for the media. Just look at what happened at Baba Siddique’s iftaar party. Now he uses a shield to cover him in his car and an umbrella to hide himself at the airport. Aryan is young but spending weeks in a normal jail along with other criminals is definitely going to traumatize him for the rest of his life. But on the plus side, Aryan can finally move on from this incident.

Sameer Wankhede, the NCB’s former zonal director in Mumbai who conducted the operation which led to the arrest of Aryan, and several others, refused to comment on the agency’s clean chit to the 24-year-old. “Sorry, I can’t comment. I’m not in the NCB, talk to NCB officials,” Wankhede was quoted as saying by India Today. – HT

Now what about Sameer Wankhede? In the name of his profession, he has been abusing the power bestowed on him. This started since the time Sushant Singh Rajput died and suddenly, NCB found themselves in the limelight. He took pleasure in the public harassments of whoever from Bollywood was called in to NCB’s office. Clearly, the man enjoyed it fully as he leaked texts, picutres and videos from the phones they inspected! He had trolls supporting him, the same SSR trolls. And then once he was outed by politician Nawab Malik, he had his wife, sister and father come out to speak in his defense. And how come no big spectacle on the 20,000 Crore Drug haul in Gujarat? The minute he had his wife and father out there defending him, we knew he’s messed up! Why else would a man who has been so proud and arrogant do this?
