Singapore invited Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to attend the Singapore Gold Cup 2012. She was hired to help raise money for charity. It was a lunch deal, so I guess people buy expensive tickets to get to have lunch with Aishwarya or at least be in the same room as her. It’s funny that she was there to raise money, but I’m sure the people in charge must have paid a huge sum to get her to come over to Singapore. That’s usually how these things work.
