If not for this blind item, no one would have thought that there’s something wrong with the production of this film. Post production, that is. It is true now that we think about it. There was a time when we would hear about this movie and its star cast and then, nothing. As Mumbai Mirror states in the blind item below, it seems there’s trouble in paradise.
By paradise, obviously we mean the producer’s office and the production house. It is strange how they have done everything else, like announcing new projects and promoting upcoming ones but no word on this film. It will be interesting to see how this one will shape up. Maybe the producer is having second thoughts since when he signed this actor, he was a big deal right after his hit film. And then, he had a big bomb at the box office. So yes, any producer will have second thoughts but this producer is on another level type of second thoughts worry.
It will be interesting to see what will happen with this film. By the way, did you know the director of this film had to wait seven years of his life to direct the next film of his career? This despite his first film being such a big hit! Very strange, indeed. It seems that he was trying to get on something, but the producer keeps on refusing his scripts and asking him to rework on them. The cast of his first hit film were waiting for him to do a sequel for the film since one of the lead actors desperately needed a solo hit, but nothing happened.
Enough story-telling time, check out the blind item below from Mumbai Mirror.
Bollywood Blind Item
THE long-awaited next film of this one-time super-successful filmmaker has run into a bit of bad luck. The film finished its shooting schedule several months ago, but there’s still no word on its release. Word is that the producers aren’t too happy with the way the film has shaped up and are planning to let it just sit in their studio. Which is a pity really, as the lead cast is quite easy on the eye. But mostly, the filmmaker needs to make a film ASAP.
OSOP Guesses
Film: Drive
Producer: Karan Johar
Director: Tarun Mansukhani
One-Time Hit: Dostana
Can’t blame Dharma though. KJo and Apoorva are already on thin ice after the debacles of the past 2 years, and another turkey at the box office will probably send them packing, SSR’s public indiscretions aside, I think the chap’s a pretty good actor, but just needs to do a couple of roles that play to his strengths and then start taking risks, like what Varun Dhawan did. Jackie is a great pair of legs, I’ll give ya that, but an awful awful awful actress, and should find herself a different career.
Gosh! Admin you have a huge collection of kjo Gifs =))
The internet has a huge collection of KJo Gifs! 😉
Maybe Kjo is smartly waiting to release the movie after Kedarnath release and it’s box office verdict? SSR and Jacky are not huge box office pulls.
strange but on this site is a completely different version of the director. in the opinion of the administrator it is Santoshi
Once upon a time I used to save up my money and couldnt wait for Saturday to come around to hit the movies and watch some really nice bollywood movies. It is a pity that now you could watch the movie free on your firestick in the comfort of your home and we just not getting any nice movies 🙁 SSR and Jacqueline? please keep the movie shelved. Tacky Jacky needs to disappear. She made a mockery of Madhuri’s song. One tacky dance step shown over and over, and honestly she should have just done that vid naked because she left nothing to the imagination, and that goes to all the movies she acts in. Everything is so vulgar for her. Girls like she and Kat needs to DRIVE out of bollywood and save the industry.
