A senior filmmaker is in some disquietude lately. His son and daughter are both separated from their respective spouses. But now we hear the filmmaker and his wife are estranged too. The troubled veterans live on separate floors of their suburban house. We hear he blames a personal coach–a sort of emotional mentor–for this strife in his home. In a bid to assuage relationships, we’re told he has sacked the overpaid self-styled love guru. Instead, he is working on his marriage and family life himself. And this seems to be the smartest news we’ve heard this week.
