He is not sure that he is the father of their offspring!

Of course he can’t SAY that publicly, because everyone assumes that he is the father. Plus, once one half of a celebrity couple accuses the other of bad behavior… well, who knows what other secrets could spill out that would be even more damaging? And, yes, she has enough dirt on him to ruin his life.

No, it’s best to handle this quietly and privately. In public, he will be supportive and respectful of the mother and their offspring so he doesn’t look like the bad guy.
