Industry big shots are not pleased that this actor’s wife is taking a ‘very keen’ interest in his work. It began with her weighing in on his costumes, but now they’re saying she reads every script he’s offered, makes it a point to sit in with him on meetings with writers and filmmakers, and offers detailed feedback on the material that’s sent to him.
Why is that a bad thing, you ask? Well it isn’t. It’s just that industrywaalas tend to complain about anything that could threaten the status quo. “Who needs to deal with another unqualified family member poking her nose where it doesn’t belong?”asks a young director snarkily, referring to the frustration among producers and directors who must deal with an assortment of partners, parents and siblings of film stars.
The actor’s wife in question is an ‘outsider’ (someone who doesn’t come from a film background), but seems to have strong opinions on scripts and roles, and it’s ruffling feathers. The rumour is that a senior writer-director huffed out of the actor’s apartment recently after the missus gave him ‘suggestions’ on how he could improve his script. “Most professionals wouldn’t be opposed to receiving genuine feedback that could make the material better. But anyone that’s speaking on behalf of a star tends to offer ‘tips’ that are solely intended to beef up the star’s role or make him look better. It’s purely selfish, vanity- related advice. And you can’t blame filmmakers for rejecting it,” the source says.
Ironically, the actor himself had a reputation for ‘interfering’ in decisions that didn’t concern him. Now Bollywood says he’s making his wife do the dirty work.

Some anonymous saying, he is popular because of Kareena. Then why can’t Kareena lift her husband saif’s career for that matter OR her family members the Jain brothers, etc. Shahid got noticed by his first movie itself and comparisons started between him and Shahrukh the fact that they looked similar. And due to his first moive popularity Kareena took notice and interest. Had he not dated her, HIs career would have taken a different route for the better. And he would have been spared of all jealousy of having Kareena by his side.

There was an blind where he asked his wife to cut the PR thing but she is still doing it. She must be really brave to stand up against him to do what she wants. Aye
omg this woman is such a publicity lover. And as for shahid the less said bout him the better. His claim to fame is an affair with bebo, thats all that is to him.
Why she interferes ? She doesn’t know anything about scripts and film making. So how can she choose the right scripts for him when he himself fails to choose the right films in 17 years despite from the film family? Mira should sit , relax and enjoy the privilege of being a star wife.
Every body has an opinion on Shahid. And they are just that. Opinions. Opinions do not translate into Fact. And the fact is Shahid is a great actor, great person, and humble and respectful. The one mistake he did in his life is date Kareena. And even after breaking up its negativity is still following him like a shadow. All Kareena’s fans don’t miss an opportunity to paint Shahid in a bad light. I say move on, look away, get another hobby.
He wouldn’t half as popular as he is now, if he hadn’t dated Kareena. That was his identity
I never really bothered about Shahid until he got married and then it just seemed like he got so popular in my eyes. I think just like me he thinks that Mira is his lucky charm. Maybe she is. I dont know why these people are complaining about Mira when salman is shoving down non-actors down our throat, KJ is shoving down nepos down our throat, aditya chopra trying to put vaani on a pesdestral… the only difference and logical difference is that Mira is shahid’s wife and not some sugar baby. As a wife you would want the best for your husband and it is nice that Shahid allows her to be part of his working life. Maybe these people should listen to her, she is non bollywood so she may just be thinking like us and want something different in the movies. I wouldnt buff her, I would listen to her, her being from the new age group. Maybe it is just me who likes to see the best in everyone :-p

Shahid has no box office pull and has always struggled to be consistent in terms of box office performance. It is career suicide to bring his 20 something wife into his career decisions when clearly she has no life experience and has no work experience either. I am amazed that these professional writers/directors even sat through half of her gibberish and did not walk out at the start. he needs to remember he does not have a powerful father or godfather to bail him out. He doesn’t even have a big box office hit to keep him relevant. he is a decent actor but then when your competition is as tough a rajkumar raos of the world who not only are master of their craft but also very humble you cannot throw attitude around.
but all the same Shahid still gets suggestions in the work, it’s after a million flops. So he has some kind of protection
The first paragraph was enough to figure out the person… There is only one star wife whose pr is more hyper than any popular actors… The number of pics, post etc on all gossip sites is ridiculously high….. Mira wants to drive away all filmmakers to their respective homes… Good for shahid’s career I guess… No more movies no more tamasha… .
The dada saheb phalke awards have become joke…. Shahid, karan singh grover etc all getting awards make me lol..
First i’ve read an article on pinkvilla saying that anushka won dada saheb phalke award and i was like wtf. And then i realized that it’s not the original Dada Saheb phalke National award but the Dada Saheb Phalke Foundation award. The article on pinkvilla was very misleading –might be cooked by anu’s pr.
And later i realised that Dada sahib Foundation is giving award’s to every actor who’s attending the ceremony like Aditi rao hydari , shahid kapoor, tamana Bhatia , kriti sanon , karti Aryan , rani mukherji ,karan johar , rakesh roshan, rajkumar rao, rana daggubati etc. These awards are so lame . Lol
Our cat is also getting an award there..They wanted Kat but couldn’t get her! 😉

@admin Don’t give Kat pr ideas. They might come out with an article saying that even though she was fecilitated with the award, she declined as she was unable to attend the ceremony. So busy with work she is.. lol.
@pooja,thanks for clarifying… I thought the award was Dada Saheb phalke National award,but it turned out to be Dada Saheb Phalke Foundation award which every participating member is getting lol……….. The gossip sites purposefully dropped that “Foundation” word in their headlines………….
Dada Saheb phalke National award is such a prestigious award and I was confused with so many awards for undeserving people being announced…
how can not like this selfish family! Shahid is very arrogant and unsafe, I am amazed at people who think he has an angelic character and does not believe in disputes between him and Ranveer on the shooting of Padmavati. People still think that Bebo would be happier with him than with Saif, because Shahid seems more cute than Saif. The public mask is very deceptive! It looks like Shahid and Mira 2 pair of boots
You forgot the way Shahid behaved with Kangana during Rangoon promotion. I really wished Ranveer retaliated back at him the way Kangy did instead of being all diplomatic. Kangana was savage.
Ranveer would not be able to answer, alas. It was Bhansali’s shooting. Bhansali stops any rumors and speculation and he is rather demanding and cruel to the actors. but the fact is fact, during the promotion Ranveer and Shahid did not intersect. Recently there was some article, supposedly this enmity between Ranveer and Shahid was invented by PR team Ranveer, but I do not believe in it. Shahid had problems with Malaika Arora as well (I’m silent about bebo or Priyanka)
Shahid’s pr came up with so much negative articles about Ranveer. But after the movie released and his bitter and passive agressive comments and tweets against Ranveer showed it was Shahid who was insecure of Ranveer. No one believes anyting Shahid says anymore.
What are you! his fans believe every word of it. you remember the shooting of Rangoon and the blind about it, remember how Shahid (and Saif, among others) were unhappy that the film is called Julia? type is focused on the heroine, even in the title. Ok, Vishal changed the name. Then there were the blind that Shahid and Saif mocked Kanganа. She went out and answered directly in her spirit. but who was to blame in the eyes of the audience? certainly Kangana. When rumors began about the disputes between Veer and Shahid, no one believed in it. Bhansali quickly cleared all the rumors. but who can see and hear, he sees and hears I read the comments of one guy, he was shot in Rangoon among the crowd. he said that Saif and Shahid are so cute, they love to chat. I asked What about Kangan? he said I did not communicate with her. I say why? was she arrogant? he said no. She came to the shooting only to work. it is intrested only by work, not by empty blah blah and gossip. This guy still said that Kangana is a true professional, any scene she strives to bring to perfection. but does not participate in empty conversations. does not spend working time.
