It was a little hard to figure out who this blind item from Filmfare was talking about. There were two South Superstars, who were supposed to make their Bollywood debut. Both were rumoured to be making their debut with one of the top young stars of Bollywood. As it turned out, one of these superstars did an ad film with the young actor so that leaves the other one out, as our OSOP Guess for this blind item. Note that the film that he is currently shooting now is originally a Telugu film, which will be dubbed in Tamil and Hindi. Though it has a Hindi-speaking heroine, it’s not a Hindi film.
Kebab Jo wanted this South Superstar for the big period film that he was planning. In the blind item, it is mentioned that the superstar didn’t feel comfortable to act opposite a new actor. It’s a bit of a mistake by the blind item writer unless they want to say that this actor is considered new if we go by this superstar’s experience working as an actor. That is the only way we can think of it. Aside from that, this blind item is truly talking about them. Well, better luck next time, KJo.

Bollywood Blind Item
This South superstar rejects a role as the second lead in a Bollywood film
When you’re already a huge star, it might just get a tad uncool for you to play the second lead especially when the main lead is a newly joined actor in the business. The same happened recently with a South superstar who’s Bollywood debut is long awaited by his fans everywhere. After a long wait, this hottie was approached by this popular filmmaker to play a role in his next. The excited actor was obviously looking forward to the film until he realized that there’s another actor who has also been roped in to play the main lead.
This sure disturbed our South star and when he spoke about it to the director, things couldn’t work out. What next this popular star took no time to walk out of the film and the director was majorly disheartened. Easy way or the difficult, we are guessing the director learned his lesson of not pitching an average star over a superstar. We hear that our Bollywood newbie is quite happy with the superstar’s exit from the film.

Admin, are you sure of your guess? B.s. in no ways the blind item refers to Ranveer. He is not a newbie, average actor or the one to be happy about someone’s exit. In fact having Prabhas on board will open south market for him as well. RS is intelligent to know that.
The last line seems to be referring to Vicky who has all rights to be happy. I couldn’t believe the role was offreed to Tiger as well. Yes kjo might have tried to rope in Rk too but no blinds about him leaving out.obvious isn’t it!
Maybe K Jo is bitter that Prabhas did not agree to this film.. He might have planted this blind to piss him off……
Karan is a dumbass. Southern actors not only have a huge following down south, their dubbed movies have a huge following up North and abroad (where most tech workers are South Indian). India’s become more plural in its entertainment tastes (enjoying both regional and foreign movies), but Karan is stuck in his Punjabi Centric rut – unfortunately he doesn’t even do Punjabi centric movies well – all trite and Karva Chauth oriented. He could never do a Punjabi centric movie like Rang De Basanti. So sad.
Ranveer may not yet be a superstar but he’s no ‘average star ‘ with plenty of hit movies & awards behind him nor can he be called a ” newbie” . This sounds like a new ,not particularly popular actor.
Prabhas did the right thing of walking out. He has huge fan following in the south and has some wonderful films lined up there. Not worth giving his time in Mumbai if he getting to play second lead role. Plus he is a producer himself and he himself is very busy with production stuff.
The way it is written the blind is very confusing. How is Ranveer (who is in hi eight year in BW) considered as a ‘newly joined actor in the business’ or ‘newbie’. If he can be called as a newbie or newly joined actor in the business, what would one call one film old Ishan and Jhanvi? Fetus?? Also wouldn’t Prabhas be the newcomer/newbie in bollywood as he is yet to debut in bollywood.
At first I thought newbie actor was Vicky because he was the one who finally bagged the role and would be most happy with Prabhas’s exist. But he is not the main lead.
Anyways according to news/gossip the second lead was offered to Ranbir and Tiger as well.
Yep was wondering the same thing , how could ranveer be called as a newbie ???And how did Karan expect prabhas to act in the movie as a second fiddle lol. I mean he’s a huge star down south .
