The new season of ‘Koffee with Karan’ has already started. We know it has since you all are talking about it. Unfortunately or fortunately, we haven’t had time to see it yet. But here’s the thing with this show, Karan Johar invites hit people or people that he is very close to, who expects him to invite them. The hit people are the ones, who have delivered surprise hits – not his kind of people since they are not from the industry or are not star kids. After being on the show, the hit people become the flop people. For example, look at Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, John Abraham (that time), Bipasha Basu (that time), Rakhi Sawant (yea, we know!), Sidharth Malhotra and so on.
Ranbir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan are probably the only two star kids with flop films behind that have been invited to the show. Shahid Kapoor was also part of that, but he came with Kareena. Then, there are the couples. Whoever goes with their partner end up breaking up soon after, Kareena-Shahid, John-Bipasha, Aditya-Shraddha, Parineeti-Alia, and others that don’t come to mind. So far, the exceptions are Abhi and Aish + Bebola and Saifu.
Point is, what is it on the sets of ‘Koffee with Karan’ that turn things around for these people? It’s a little funny. When we think about how everyone on the show was going on and on about how Parineeti is Alia’s competitor and all that, and then suddenly her flop phase happened and she disappeared for some time. How Alia’s dad was like, “Your competitor is sitting right next to you, you have to watch her closely” and some other crap. It was like he had sent out a hit on poor Pari and Alia has to do it. Nazar lag gayi.
Sure, these outsiders are really happy to be acknowledged by Karan so they come on his show because they don’t have the guts to say no. This season, Karan is bringing in a few newbies. One of the new 100-crore guys that will be on the show has apparently refused to come with another happening actor. The happening actor’s father was recently outed for sexual harassment, which was quite an embarrassment for this actor since he supported this movement. But, why should the child suffer because of the parent? The happening actor has not said anything in regards to this story. So the 100-crore actor is definitely the actor we have in our OSOP Guesses because as per the blind item, he recently delivered a hit. The actor will be coming later on with his co-star from that hit film – this is what we heard. Only he knows why he refused to come with the happening actor, whether it’s the #MeToo movement case or something else.
Initially, we thought that he didn’t want to come with someone else because they shot the episode yesterday and the happening actor was paired with another actor, whose last recent 2 films were successful. You all remember the blind item, which described how the 100-crore actor did not enjoy working with this other actor because he ate up all of his screen time and did other stuffs to come out as the shining star. If the 100-crore actor refused to come with this other actor, it would make sense.
One thing for sure, Kebab Jo doesn’t give a crap about others,. #MeToo or not. As long as you are in demand, you will be on his show. Speaking of #MeToo, wonder if anyone will have the guts to out him? He doesn’t seem that much worried about it. Who knows?! Check out the blind item from PinkVilla.

Rivalries in Bollywood are not big thing and especially when actors are suddenly met with new found stardom, they do seem to get competitive. A little birdie informed us that recently two actors who are on the rise currently were approached to share the couch for a chat show but the actor who recently delivered a 100 crore hit film was not too keen on the same. The other actor too is being considered to be one of the breakout stars of 2018.
We hear that the 100 crore actor turned down the offer saying the other is not big enough to be sharing the same couch to talk with a celebrity anchor. Buzz is that the recent MeToo movement issue might also be one of the reason for the refutal. Well, we have already dropped a couple of hints. This seems to be a easy guess, did you find out?

It’s kebab Jo’s way of slotting people. If you notice, in every season he does that. When Parineeti was going well, he paired her with Alia who was slightly behind her at that moment. Now he has paired Alia with Deepika as if to say both are on same level. KWK is obviously a huge platform for nepo gang to look cool and keep slotting their competitors. Ranveer is paired with Akshay, been like saying RS might be a star but not Superstar like SRK/SK?
Never thought rajkumar rao would into coming on kwk let alone refuse to come on with someone he thought was “less” of an actor than him. Thought he was cooler than that. i guess youre right, admin. Nobody can say no to kjo 🙁
From the last episode it looked like KJo is suddenly friendly with Ranveer and deepika coz simba is coming soon & tried to make DP go against Anushka and Katrina coz he has nothing to do with them in the near future…

The first season was the best. The people who came were both from outside film families like Preity, John, Bipasha, Lara, Ash (not married to AB then) etc and few from film families like Abhishek , Saif. They all made it fun to watch. Loved the episode with Preity and Abhishek. so hilarious. But after that every season got worse and worse. Not planning to watch this season where he promotes his nepo gang, makes RK sound like the most desirable man on the planet. This show has not evolved at all.
I think parineeti is not ambitious enough she has lost her charm she could have been really big but she wants to be Katrina kaif
Very good of Rao to decline. Raazi’s success was placed on Alia’s shoulders and stan twitter decided to put Stree’s success on Shardha’s shoulders. Kjo and Alia got insecure, so much so that they even had trade analyse fake Stree’s BO numbers to appear less than Raazi for as long as they could.
Now Raazi’s main protagonist was indeed Alia but Stree’s protagonist was Rao and not Shardha’s, so if anyone is to get “the praise” for the 100 cr hit its Rao.
Kjo wants to put Rao and Vicky in the same category? That’s a big laugh! Yeah Vicky has alot of potential and might become a huge star but he hasn’t proven his ability like that of Rao. I am so darn happy Rao is finally seeing his worth and refuse to come on that show. Kjo can’t use his evil powers and pull strings on any and everyone.

Definitely agree there. Vicky is not in the same league as Rajkumar Rao. At least as of yet. Then why should he short sell himself? I’m so glad that unlike before stars are not so desparate to be on the show that they accept whatever KJo dishes out. And its KJo’s turn to cater to their demands.
On a different note, I don’t know what people see in Shraddha Kapoor. She is just average looking not a great actor or dancer. And no great personality either like DP or Kat. The only thing I like about her is she keeps a low profile. Such a refreshing change from the rest of BW.
Hi Admin Can you do an analysis of episodes of Koffee with Karan? May be the body language of the people involved, what they say on camera , what they actually mean behind the scenes?
Rajkumar is not even in the country rn; I believe he’s shooting Made in China with Mouni. So it’s pretty obvious he couldn’t appear with any of these guys.
So KJo PR is at work again. Also Shraddha is dating Rohan Sreshta and keeping mum about it so makes it even convenient for KJo to spread rumours about Raj and Shraddha.
Can imagine KJo and Alia losing their minds over Stree doing better than Raazi and hence the bitchy remark about Shraddha on KWK. Won’t be surprised to see more blinds in Raj and Shraddha going forward.
and kjo officially kicks off the negative blinds about vicky he is doing kjo movies after all. I am more likely to believe rajkumar refused to appear on the show with ayushman than vicky.

I don’t think Karan has anything to fear from the MeToo movement though if rumours of his being gay are true. I have the impression Manish is his long term partner. And if Karan is guilty of coercing guys, i seriously doubt any of them would come out.
And considering that Karan is a fair weathered friend, if any of his friends are affected, he’ll withdraw until the coast is clear.
