He always makes time to promote his films, but according to BOI, he is not interested in promoting his upcoming release in India and in person with the media. So far on his social media account, he has been sharing links about this upcoming movie but as far as video interviews go, it seems that he won’t be around since he is filming his next film in Europe.
Going by the blind item, they want us to believe that the film is a lost cause which is why this actor is not promoting it. How is that possible when he has promoted his brainless films before? This one does not seem brainless at all and it is directed by a well-acclaimed female director. Maybe it has something to do with his payment for this film. This actor puts getting paid above anything else. Maybe they didn’t settle his fees yet, that’s why he doesn’t feel the need to come back to India to promote the film.

This superstar has gone MIA from the promotions of their big film – guess who?
Stars going into overdrive to promote their upcoming films has become an established practice these days. So much so that actors’ film contracts stipulate that they will make themselves fully available for a number of promotional activities in the run-up to the release. Which is why the radio silence from the main lead of this film that is all set to hit theatres is intriguing. In fact, the star has headed out for an outstation shoot and is not even available for basic stuff like media interviews or photo ops to create curiosity around the film. The positive spin on this would be to attribute this to supreme confidence in the film but from what we hear, it is more a case of not wanting to waste any more time on a lost cause.
Ah well, you can’t win them all.

Also, whats with the influx on news on nora fatehi and angad bedi. she seems really hurt by his sudden marriage to Dhupia. I am not sure how they broke up, bt I think i remember reading a blind which indicated that Nora was caught sleeping with his friend . the comments seemed to point to Biru, but i am not sure who. If that is true she should stop being so burnt.

More like Angad and Neha are trying their best to not make it obvious why they tied the knot so quickly. Neha is wearing curtains these days with sofa designs.
Akshay have gotten too big for his shoes. In his mind, he dont need to do promotions as everyone who sees a movie with him in it will rush to the cinemas because we all so love him and he is a starboy. Sorry akshay, gone are the days when you were a hunk and had girls swooning over you. You are old and look old too and way beyond looking distinguished. Go home and try being a good hubby to that wife of yours who have stood with you through all your unfaithfulness to her.
He was never ever a good actor ….He is just milking the audiences stupidity by doing the so-called socially relevant movies like ‘Toilet’ or those dealing with the Army like ‘BABY’ etc….My detective brain is telling me that his new found love for patriotism/bootlicking the current govt happened majorly during de-monetisation. It is a well known secret that he keeps a humongous amount of cash at his home. Toh problem toh bahut aayi hogi…. the best solution…BJP ka jhanda hilao, baki sab khud jaan jao… I don’t have a problem with his shitty acting, but he is a shitty citizen and I am very sure that the powers that be must have blackmailed him…..and the film people should be called ACTORS, not ‘Heroes’ or Heroines’ because most of them are not in real life…..

i rarellyy see ppl who do extra shifts and night duties and work on weekends for freee..common alrdy..only bcos at some point in the past ppl did it for free doesnt mean he shud still do it….im sure he dint keep them in a loop and surprised them with diffrnt terms n conditions after the shooting wrapped….
i thot the trailer was very boring..as much as his comedy films are senseless they surprisingly have an audience and smhw end up gtn big bucks (sad) , bt gold trailer was simply boring to watch and his acting skills r quite pathetic in this one and its very evident for ppl to see….also mouni roy is the heroine , like whyyyy..shes all plastic and has zero positivity in her face
The difference between us and them (movie stars) is that they get a signing amount before they start filming. It can be a portion, half or a quarter. Then after the film is completed, they get the full amount. Some films wait until the box office results come to settle their stars’ fees because of the huge amount that the producers don’t have with them before the film releases. Like, Ranbir Kapoor for Bombay Velvet and Shah Rukh for his many films. Aamir doesn’t take one cent until the box office results come and all dues are settled. For RK, they had to fork up that leftover amount to pay him and ended up not having enough to settle for Anushka Sharma. In Akki’s case, he takes a signing amount and expects the full amount by the time the film is done. Then he waits for the box office results and takes some of the profits as well. It’s how Prerna Arora ended up dry after their last film together. He’s a smart businessman, money-minded. But in this case, he signed a contract that he has to promote the film and according to the BI, he is not doing so but the producers cannot tell him anything. Him staying away because he didn’t get paid is just a guess.
Every big actor charges extra money for promotional events and every movie has its own promotional budget. So actors are not obliged to promote a movie if he’s not paid the money.
Gold trailer has got a positive response. And it’s too early to say that akshay won’t promote the movie.
I guess BOI is as usual cooking up stuff , just like it regularly gives inflated Box office figures and puts up propaganda driven negative articles against few actors. Articles from BOI should be taken with pinch of salt.
