It seems that this girl is really making it as the official subject for blind items that talk about how women are making use of their position to get men; something like that. Rajeev Masand’s blind item for today is about the very same subject who was featured in Mumbai Mirror’s blind item earlier this week. So far, there has been three blind items about her. In the earlier two, it was about how she tried to get close to the actors by promising them more screen time and more films after this one. This blind item below is about her giving out expensive gifts to the main lead of this film, not just to him but also to his daughter. There is nothing wrong in giving out gifts, except when the rest of the cast and crew did not get the same benefit and had to go through a pay cut before the director signed them on.
Seriously though, did these actors not know how this film will turn out? We already knew how this film will turn out when we heard about it. No one is interested anymore in watching these elaborate war movies. If directors want to make one, they can do so only if it is a really unique script and a low budget film. Besides, you think people are interested to see what happened centuries ago when we are still living in a war against humanity, especially women and children. We do appreciate the sacrifice that these army men and women did for the safety of their nation, but the film’s profit does not go to them or their families. The only good that comes out of these war films is that it creates awareness, but that works only if the film becomes a hit.
Back to the blind item on hand. It mentions how the crew of this film has not been paid yet. What is going on? Why does Bollywood people keep doing this over and over again? They pay the stars because they know very well that they can end up being sued if the stars don’t get paid. In the process, they neglect the crew on the sets and it’s horrible because these crew members depend heavily on their salaries, compared to the stars of the film.
Since this girl is part of production, hopefully she gets her head out of all these actors’ abs and do the right thing; after all, she does have the power. Check out the blind item below by Rajeev Masand. By the way, do you think the actor gave these earrings to his daughter or to his young girlfriend? Maybe he couldn’t afford to get nice earrings for the girlfriend and randomly told this girl some story and she went out to get the earrings for him. It is strange that she gave him only one pair of earrings since he has two daughters. Just saying! Since this actor has been reported to be going through a financial crisis due to his poker addiction, it’s not that far-fetched!
Bollywood Blind Item
Paisa Wise, Rupee Foolish
A senior filmmaker’s daughter became so besotted by this good-looking male star that she didn’t stop just at showering him with attention during outdoor schedules of her dad’s recent film. Eyewitnesses say that the young lady, who handled production on the set, could not hide her infatuation with the actor. The star in question too reportedly indulged her little crush.
But things stopped being ‘cute’ when actors and unit members—many of whom have still not been paid even after the film’s release—learnt that the filmmaker’s daughter had been splurging on expensive gifts for the actor. Her famously arrogant father made pretty much everyone take pay cuts while they were signing the film, then didn’t clear their dues even after a studio bankrolled the project. So most of them were pretty pissed off when they learnt that his daughter had presented the star with a pair of designer earrings for his daughter that cost some Rs 5 lakh.
It does seem extravagant and insensitive when you consider that the family hasn’t paid spot boys and below-the-line workers sums as small as a few thousand rupees for services already rendered. Not that this is the first time they’ve been guilty of this. Just ask the folks who worked on his last film.
