Bollywood Blind Item 6 – November 2018

This star featured in the blind item below has been the rival of the other star, who has been featured in many blind items these past few weeks – all related to the #MeToo movement. We have been wondering when will someone out this actor. Both of these two actors are action stars, who also excel in other lines of acting. They are quite successful and with that, they are also quite powerful. They both have wives, who are known to be quite outspoken and of firecrackers’ character.

This star has been in several blind items regarding his affairs. It’s a well-known fact.

Check out the blind item below by Rajeev Masand.

    A Sickening Encounter

Adding her voice to the MeToo movement, a credible art-house actress has been privately telling friends about her “sickening” encounter with a top male star some years ago. She has revealed that she was asked to meet the action star to discuss a role that she was being considered for in a movie he was doing. When she showed up, however, the star was with his famously sleazy business manager- cum-producing partner, and the actress has said she immediately felt uncomfortable.

She has said it wasn’t a “great role” to begin with, but mainstream visibility had been hard to come by, and an opportunity to be in a big Bollywood movie was one she didn’t want to miss. The meeting was “odd” because the star barely spoke. At one point she felt obliged to state her skills because she got the feeling that neither the star nor his manager was familiar with her work. When she went on to list her accomplishments, the star cut her off irritably and asked: “Woh sab theek hai. Yeh bata, tu degi kya?” (“All that’s okay, tell me, will you comply?”)

The actress has said she felt revolted and her demeanour made it more than evident to the star and his manager. The meeting ended awkwardly and quickly, and she didn’t get the role. She is conflicted about exposing the actor because she doesn’t think anything will come of it. “Very unlikely his career will be affected. I will surely suffer,” she has told friends, justifying her decision not to go public.

    Bollywood Blind Item 6 – November 2018

    1. How ‘consensual’ are Salman’s relationships when the women are in it for work or money? He mostly works with his harem and that says it all. No entry for others. Aamir had many affairs and that led to his first marriage breaking up. Were they all consensual? Doubt it. Manta Kulkarni spoke of being propositioned by Bobby Deol and Aamir. And Shahrukh is probably very discreet. In the 90s both Akshay and Ajay were linked to co stars but one got the impression they were consensual. Akshay was a huge womanizer.

    2. I agree Khan’s and Sr Bachchan need to be outed too – it is only then the male power hierarchy will topple like a house of cards and genuine cleansing of Bollywood will take place. Rekha, Raveena, Lolo, Amrita, Zeenat, PC, Kat, Fatima, DP, Sayali out these monsters please

    3. Waiting for such blinds on Khan’s someday. Nobody is a saint in bollywood but it seems Khans are getting away with anything.

    4. It’s not Radhika. She was lead actress for an award winning film Ajay Devgn produced.
BTW, why are there blinds only of Akshay and Ajay? Are the Khans saint?

      1. I think parched was not entirely conceptualised by ajay devgan production.several small films are made in meagre budget, then usually shown at festivals ,if they get appreciation and awards some big production house buys them and then presents them in order to have a wider release.like recently tummbad was purchased by anand l rai.this incident might have happened when radhika was not famous.

      2. There are no blinds about khans as whatever salman does is out in the open, what else can someone else write in blind.besides women throw themselves at him in exchange for work.have never heard of him forcing someone against their will,or someone being afraid of losing their job.even when anushka worked with him,and she isn’t part of his harem, there were no stories of her having faced harassment.its an irony he is more careful about a women’s consent than others.about aamir and srk they always have been in a power position so every gossip is of them having affairs with consensual partners, cheating on wives sure, but adultery isn’t a crime.have never heard of a single gossip saying they harassed someone, sexually or in any which ways.srk aamir both don’t have a temper and are said to be extremely courteous on set and with people they work.i think they keep the work and affairs separate.otherwise me too blinds about them would have come tumbling out till now.

      1. Unfortunately he’s not. I’ve heard about him demanding sex of not only up and coming actresses, but also other women on the set. I’ve heard first hand stories from a junior assistant director. He doesn’t force or rape women, but is persistent, and incredibly contemptuous and snide if you turn him down. You are thereafter publicly treated like dog poo on a shoe. And there’s always the fear that you would get falsely blacklisted and not get future work. There are numerous star kids and other unqualified people with filmi connections who want work as “asst directors” as they are waiting for their acting debuts. Luckily this asst dir is very talented and went on to work with decent directors and production houses, but things could have gone very wrong for her.

      2. Ajay Devgan doesn’t spare any woman on his sets. Not choreographers, not assistant directors, not camerapersons, not stylists, not editors, not screenwriters, NO one! Unless they have a background and network that keeps them safe. Women are known to be scared to work on his sets due to the pervasive sexual harassment.

When I found out that he and his doormat wife were Ambassadors for UN Women, I threw up a bit in my mouth. My esteem for UN went down after that – makes me wonder if someone in UN India office is getting paid for handing out free PR opportunities.

    5. Creeps me out no end that this man has a tattoo of Lord Shiva (who is revered as the Ardhanaareshwar – ‘of whom one half is Female’) on his chest. So hypocritical, given his treatment of women.

    6. On this note, I have a request for the Admin. Admin you said somewhere that you grew up in the 90s. If so, you might have been privy to the happenings in Bollywood of those times. Considering that almost all the superstars today started their careers in the 90s please do an article on them. As in were they always creepy and weird like this? Or with fame and age they thought they could get away with anything and everything. Also I have always been so fascinated with Pooja Bhatt and Manisha Koirala, who I feel are two of the most gorgeous women to have graced Bollywood and also really talented but both met with their rapid downfall like way too early in their career. It would be interesting to read about them. I have read and seen a few of their interviews courtsey Lehren and Stardust and I think they were really firebrands when they opened their mouth. I always think it would be so interesting if Kjo invited these two ladies on KWK. We would get to hear uncensored and unmanipulated Bollywood inside gossip.

      1. Listen, whatever we knew or know, we do make it a point to mention it. We have been talking about these things, but it’s up to you whether you want to believe or not.

    7. To teach such horrid creeps like Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar etc a lesson, the MeToo movement will fall short in that respect. Reason being for every Tanushree Dutta who outs these weirdos, there will be a dozen Pooja Hegdes and that other actress in Housefull4 (not Kriti Sanon, the other one, there are three I guess) who will satisfy the demands of these maniacs and will also support them voraciously like these two females are supporting Sajid Khan. In my opinion to actually teach them a lesson you have to beat them at their own game.

    8. I think how would a tanushree be able to remove superstars? as far as I remember, they removed her from Bollywood. 10 years ago, she could not even speak out against Nana Patekar and after 10 years, even with great political support (do not tell me that without politics, me too movement happened so openly) she is still fighting Nana Patekar. Even now, there are people who believe Nana and insult Tanushree and there are quite a few of them. Even superstar actresses cannot remove the superstars of the actors, but the admin is sure of the girl from the Tanushree Datta

    9. Radhika please out this shameless guy Ajay Devgun . And while you are at it do the same for Akshay Kunar too. Girls need to be warned of these creeps

    10. That’s why Anushka Shetty refused to star in hindi remake of Singham though it was offered to her. She said that work ethics are different and later she changed it to “It was because of miscommunication regarding numbers (price). So far, the offers have not been that inviting”.

I think even she was asked to compromise and she refused. Thus Kajal Agarwal got the role. Anushka since then hasn’t been too keen to step into Bollywood. Probably she knows how the business is done here. She is already an established name in the south and no one will mess with her over there but here maybe she has to comply.

Creepy Devgn should continue to experience flops… His stardom should hit rock bottom and Kajol will also follow suit. Her movies are flopping right, left and center. Only a K Jo film or SRK film can bring her back…

      1. that also couldnt actually…we all know how Dilwale flopped..we should all ban these actors… they demand this kind coz of audience like us…over the years i have realized how rich they have become… i also have a contribution in their wealth..and i havent got anything in return

      2. I think Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s days are over.. Rohit Shetty has shifted focus to new generation of actors. So a Singham or a Golmaal unlikely in future… Ajay has all flops besides these two ………. Kajol is not strong enough on her own to draw crowds. Helicopter Eela, VIP 2 are flops… She has just a guest appearance in Zero. That’s why she has reconciled with K Jo even after K Jo wrote all that negative things about her in his book…

      3. Actually, you’re wrong. Ajay Devgn’s films has been doing well in recent years. Shivaay would have been a hit if it didn’t have a huge budget, after all it crossed 100 Crore despite negative press during the ADHM-Shivaay clash. Baadshaho was a hit, Raid this year crossed 100 crore in spite of the subject matter and he just won a Best Actor award for it in China. Not to mention that he is the only friend of Salman Khan who doesn’t need him to make his film a hit.

Kajol on the other hand has done only three films in three years and only Helicopter Eela flopped with good reason (the script was weak and i find it creepy that Ajay paired himself romantically with an 18 year old in Shivaay whereas she had to play a mother to a 19 year old in Eela when she is and looks younger than her husband). Dilwale wasn’t a flop. It grossed over 300 crores worldwide. It just performed below expectations especially as there were bans on the film in some areas because of SRK’s intolerance, the script wasn’t as good as previous SRK-Kajol movies and BM was a strong competition. VIP2 was actually a hit in spite of bad reviews. Besides, she still has a good relationship with SRK and has patched up with Karan. If both continue to do well, she’ll still find a place in their films.

The only thing that would work against them is age. Real life characters aside, they are very good actors. The worst that would happen is that they may not be playing lead roles anymore. Kajol for instance may play Alia or Janhvi’s mother soon. Besides, Ajay can simply just remain as a producer and invest in films with good scripts. Not to mention that they are not show off, party throwing people so they have invested their money wisely.

My comments should not be taken as supporting a creep though. If the blinds are true, Ajay Devgn is a creep and Kajol is mad for still being with him. Has she forgotten she has a daughter who should be learning from her example?

      4. @Keira,Shivaay has got bad reviews everywhere. There is this quora article on that
        -https://www.quora.com/Why-did-Shivaay-flop

Also VIP2 had no collection from Hindi belt. It also got very bad reviews. In this site – https://www.hindustantimes.com/regional-movies/vip-2-s-decent-run-at-box-office-soundarya-rajinikanth-writes-heartfelt-message/story-vK2catKPECMCwaUXPPhWJM.html,they say this ” Unfortunately, it turned out to be a dud in both the language. In Tamil, however, it managed to break even but still failed to be as successful as the first part.” There will a lot of article saying VIP2 didn’t do well, now they have disappeared.

Dilwale was panned by even SRK Kajol hardcore fans and though it collected money enough to be called a hit, still if it hasn’t won audience over then its of no use. Its similar as Race 3 which was a hit but wasn’t liked.

A hit film will affect one’s career in a positive way only it was well received by the audience. For eg Dabang,Bajrangi Bhaijaan,Dangal etc left an impact on the viewers and if anyone is asked to name the best movies, then these will feature but a Shivaay,VIP2 unlikely.

The collections are usually inflated if there was major star in it. So I don’t trust these figures much but a big hit’s impact can be felt and sensed. Like you hear a lot of people around you discussing about it..
