Bollywood Blind Item 8 – March 2018

Today’s first blind item comes from Mumbai Mirror. It’s about this young actress and the 90s popular song that has been recreated. First of all, let us say that recreating famous old songs is something that directors and producers want to do. Music directors themselves are not interested, but have to give in to the producers’ demands because they are the ones signing the paychecks. One way to look at it is that the generation of today will get to be aware of these 90s songs because they have been remixed and performed by actors that this generation recognises.

Alright, back to the topic on hand. We had no idea that they were remaking this song. This actress has been in so many item songs that it’s hard to keep track. But, this song? Come on! When we first saw the teaser a couple of days back, we just panicked. Think, your old lady seeing the trailer of the first 50 Shades of Grey type of panic! Well, in this scenario, we were dead hoping that this legendary actress does not see what they have done with her hit song. We actually went, “We hope she doesn’t see this. Her heart will be broken at how they are destroying her legacy’. Then lo and behold, some websites are even tagging her when they are sharing this teaser or news related to this teaser!

The teaser was so bad! It’s not like we are prudes or anything like that, but there’s a limit to everything. Producers, directors and choreographers these days think we are all so sexualised that everything has to be sexy by giving the actors less clothes to wear and dance moves that will put your grandma to rest forever! In the 90s hit song, there was grace, fun and beauty in the song. It was all innocent, so much so that kids would sing it in class because it sounds like a nursery rhyme. The recreated version looks like the type of song that gets played in a dance-for-pay kind of environment. We won’t say where, but you get the idea.

Why are they doing this? Just stop already! It’s a good thing that we don’t support all these silly remixes. The only thing these songs make us want to do is to go back and watch the original and appreciate it. Check out the blind item below on Mumbai Mirror to see who we are ranting about. Good thing that this legendary actress is not going to promote this song. There’s a limit to everything!

STARS share practically everything on their photosharing sitesβ€”from what they eat for breakfast to the view of their homes to their looks in different films to even the obvious announcements. But this is the sort of news that you’d never hear about. A young leading lady, who’s performing a remake of an iconic song in her next film, had asked the original heroine to shoot a promotional video with her. The request was made several times, but each time the senior heroine said she was travelling or didn’t have dates. It took a while for the current actress to come to terms with the fact that a β€˜too busy’ also means β€˜no’.

    1. None can match madhuri in songs like ek do teen or chane ke khet me.tamma tamma was an easy one.even jacqueline could have done it. Nothing like alia is a great dancer, they just chose the right song and baaghi team ruined it.

    2. Same old remix this and that, make someone dance awkwardly formula of these days. I was so shocked to see it on social media site (where it starts playing the vid automatically), that I scrolled down in a hurry and never went back to watch it fully. They are ruining every bit of good ol memories us 90’s kids have.
No wonder they remixed an entire movie with songs, music and even the main lead copying original hero in Judwa. Sad that it became a hit and now we will get hit by more such crap. Sigh.

    3. This song i so criticized that it generated a lot of views. They were hoping for to thrive on bad publicity. No one expected that this song will be received well.

There was an article on OKCUPID on how there is data that proves for a person to generate interest if they are either too perfect looking or bad looking. Reasonably good looking and cute will only be a disadvantage….Looks like the same logic is on work here.
Get great reviews or awful reviews to get attention and success.

    4. I love Madhuri. TBH BW shouldnt remake these classic hit songs and ruined them. I guess she will be really busy because she has opened her own production house. Jacky is good but she fails to create Madhuri magic.

      1. No now Jacky snatch this song from madhuri ma’am legacy going to perform every award show n stage show as its her own song that what made madhuri must declining her.she knew this song fame go to her this jacky going to milking that fame.

        1. Yeah but again Jacky can’t come close to madhuri. Have you seen the song? It’s all skin show. No grace at all. Jacky will milk it but comparison will always be there. People will always remember it as madhuri song.

    5. Chaloo ek aur Remix and ofcourse Bak-waas.
Well, I am NOT complaining this time just because of a simple reason, Bollywood has recently ruined so many Punjabi songs by re-mixing and now its Bollywood own songs turn.. I am sure many ppl will come out from the industry saying “aise gaane kharaab nahi karne chaiye and Blahh Blhhh ”
/// Well, they deserve it oz they have ruined Punjabi songs already….

Public is already Fed up… wiase bhi hamari suntaa kaun hain…
ITni films Flop ho rahi hain, but still Bllywood has a lot of money… acha hain dubaooo paisa and phir bhaag janaa India sey, like others…

      1. Some of my friends who don’t listen to Punjabi music didn’t even know that Kala Chasma was more than 10 years old. And the poor singer didn’t receive a dime from the movie version!
But Punjabi music is like the “hiphop” of Indian music industry. It has the attitude and entertainment that can’t be replicated by Bollywood, so they outright steal it!

    6. These kind of film makers don’t understand the difference between “Class ‘n Crass”….. Just look at Urmila in Rangeela or Sridevi in Mr. India or Manisha Koirala in Bombay… they displayed sensuality with a lot of grace……Expecting that from Jaqueline or Kareena is too much… they think just because they are fans of yesteryear actors, they are also equally talented….. The tribute that kareena paid to Sridevi a few years back had me cringing…..

      1. Oh yes, I recently revised Bombay, Manisha was beautiful, she looked gently and sensually as a child, no vulgarity. I do not even know what to call what is happening now (

        1. Or go back further and look at classy Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi. They won’t look vulgar even in a bikini. Such was the grace and aesthetically shot movies. All we get now is over sexualized crap.

      2. Agree with you. Bw now lacks good lyricists and talent. Even i hate that tamma tamaa, tu cheez badi hai n ek hogye humaur tm remakes. These young guns lacks grace and talent. Today BW lacks soulful and meaningful songs.

    7. I haven’t watched the teaser and have no intentions to watch it either…..out of all songs, why this one? Out of all actresses why it has to be Jacky?

      Admin,
Another Aamir Khan blind from PV..

    8. Its remind me chikani chemali when I saw its they also ruin its tu cheez badi hai mast mast song even akki came to support song lol.this Jacky Katrina r shame as name of actress just body showoff n nanganach.

    9. Why do they have to ruin the original songs by turning it into a cringe worthy remix?? The best part is that Madhuri has refused to promote this crap..
