Bollywood Blind Item – August 2019 – 1

Promotions are currently ongoing for this upcoming film, which is a little strange that they are now only announcing the postponement of its release date. Something similar was seen with Rani Mukherjee’s ‘Hichki’ when, after she did all the promo for her film, it was postponed for weeks later.

Now for this one that the BI is talking about, we don’t know whether they will continue their promotions until the film actually release, which is like 7 days more of promo. The producer is loaded, so maybe there will enhance the budget and make it possible.

This film is important for both of these actors, so it’s important they get less of a noisy release. These past few weeks have had big releases and postponing the film, so they don’t get cramped up, seems like a good idea.

Check out the blind item below from Mumbai Mirror. Will you be booking your tickets?

THE two leading stars of a forthcoming film are exasperated about its repeated postponement but neither, we hear, has a choice or say in the matter. The word of the distributor has to be held in the highest regard and neither actor is on a strong commercial wicket to revolt. Now if the film doesn’t work, at least they can blame it on the shift in release date.

    1. I have a feeling Jabariya Jodi will do well. The director seems like he knows his stuff, the songs are very popular, the actors seem to have done a decent job, and the tone and wit of the bits we’ve seen so far from the movie seems competent enough. If they haven’t messed up the pacing of the film and the story isn’t too messy, it will sail strongly through. Postponing its release is a good move.

    2. Would they dare to do such delay for star kids? i root for these outsiders, hope the movie works for them.

    3. Sid was always only a pretty face whereas Pari had the special something. But rather than capitalise on that she had to take the glamour route. Now she’s neither here nor there. No, won’t be booking tickets in a hurry for this one.

      1. @Rad: tbh I found Sid pretty competent in Kapoor and sons and that movie w Manoj Bajpai (forgot the name). Pari plays every part the exact same way…

        1. Kapoor and sons had a powerful performance from Fawad and yes Sid too was competent but he goes for chocolate boy roles which doesn;t require much more than looking good. Pari on the other hand I thot had quite different roles in Ladies vs RB, Hasee toh fasee and shuddh desi. And she was quite good in all of these. She could have continued playing the girl next door variants instead of trying to become a clone of glam dolls of BW. The kind of roles Bhumi, Kriti etc do would have suited her very well.

          1. True I agree the movie had a great script and Fawad and the rest of the cast were wonderful in it. I personally find Pari’s image makeover to a glamour doll also pathetic. Though I never appreciated her other roles either as I found her repetitive – anyway just my opinion.

            1. @Sheena only now I was looking at Pari’s list of movies that I noticed she has a great number of flops, none of which I have watched. So probably she has repetitive roles. And pathetic is the right word, I agree.
