We have a feeling that the blind item below was written in such a way that might confuse readers. Many clues were given, but nothing specific and concrete. We have 2 OSOP Guesses in mind for this blind item. But the thing is, we don’t know if one of them fit the clues perfectly. What we know is an announcement that one of these ladies made sometime back, which fits one of the clues of this blind item. We think it’s her and the blind item was deliberately written in such a way that the clues don’t point to her directly. She’s married, but her old husband doesn’t live with her, which explains her lonely and quiet life now that both daughters are married. Check it out below to see who we are talking about.
Bollywood Blind Item
She may have had her naughty years as a young actor, but this former leading lady now leads a mostly quiet life. While she is well on her way to becoming a grandmother, we hear the former star is now taking a little time out for herself. This actress is quite smitten by a younger actor. He is a small-timer, not a major star and she usually spends much time admiring him.
OSOP Guess
Who it might be about
Former Leading Lady: Zeenat Aman – Sons not confirmed to be married
zeenat fits this perfectly!
Hey Admin, can you explain the Hema Malini- Dharmendra marriage thing. It’s very non-traditional that they don’t live together. Their children don’t talk about each other in any interviews. The girls are only associated with Hema while the boys only with Dharmendra. What is the issue? Or if there isin’t any what purpose does all of this separation serve to their careers and image? Do they all acknowledge each other at all? I don’t understand the dynamics of this famous family at all as they seem very secretive and I have always been very curious.
Are you not aware of it? It’s legendary stuff! Dharam paji converted to Islam just so that he can take a second wife. So, both he and Hema converted just to get married. They tied the know Iyengar style also. He has been married to his first wife since he was 18 and they have 4 kids together. In an interview with Simi Garewal, Hema said she knew what she was getting herself into. She knew that Dharam would stay over at his first wife’s place, which is a family house that everyone in the Deols live in. Dharam was also against his daughters joining films, but it seems Hema didn’t really care for his feelings when Esha decided to join films. The Deols are the typical traditional Indian family. Their women are never seen, except for Bobby’s wife, and the girls were all married off in arranged marriage style and shipped off to the US. Only Bobby married his girlfriend of many years, the rest settled for arranged marriage. This explains why Sunny felt in love with Dimple later on. Since Abhay is considered the modern Deol, he gets along well with Hema and her daughters. That’s pretty much it. We forgot to mention, the Deol men have the funniest dancing springs in their bodies!

Woah!! That was a lot of unexpected stuff. I had read small pieces of news, nobody goes into details. I was not born at the time all of this happened. The most I’ve seen of Dharamendra in action is his cameo in an Om Shanti Om song where half of BW came to do 2 steps with SRK. That, btw, was soooo ridiculous.
Anyway, since all this extra stuff is not on that link you posted (time for an update?) I’m going to tackle this info one by one, if you will bear with me.
1) So, his first marriage was arranged by his father and he agreed to it.
What was his father’s view on his conversion to Islam just to get married to Hema Malini?
2) What was his first wife’s view of it? I’m going to assume she wasn’t okay with it just because
Hema didn’t stay in the Deol family house like Salim Khan’s 2 wives do..
3) Why did Dharamendra not simply get divorced from his first wife?
4) What about the Deol Kids ?- they would have had a lot to deal with knowing their father’s
decision to marry another woman in such a sneaky manner while still being married to their
mom.
5) The oldest kid generally takes it the hardest in my experience. The oldest among
them was Sunny. How was he at the time?
Is he on good terms with Hema and Esha-Ahana today?
Bobby and Abhay look like chilled out and open people to me, so I think they have learned
to deal with it.
6) Are the girls and Dharmendra close?
Was Dharamendra absent from their the girls lives at any point because for his
commitment to his first wife and family?
Its heartening to know that Hema stood firm for her daughters and allowed them to try their
hand at films
I realize I have too many questions. All so personal. I don’t expect you to know everything. Also, you can choose not to answer any if you don’t want to.
Yes, we did realise that link has nothing interesting. But, it was more of a bio page for the Deols. Here’s what we know:
1) Arranged marriage are the way in the Deols family. If Dharam was scared of his father, he wouldn’t have done what he did. No idea on what his dad must have thought. But even Hema’s father didn’t approve of their relationship. She married Dharam after her dad passed, but her mum still wasn’t happy with Hema’s decision to marry an already-married man. Maybe his dad too wasn’t alive then.
2) Dharam and his wife were together for 26 years before Hema happened. This is what she said when she was asked about her husband leaving her for another woman:
“Why only my husband, any man would have preferred Hema to me .How dare anyone call my husband a womanizer when half the industry is doing the same thing? All heroes are having affairs and getting married a second time. I can understand what Hema is going through. Even she has to face the world, her relatives and her friends. But if I were in Hema’s place, I would not have done what she did. For, as a woman, I can understand her feelings. But as a wife and a mother I do not approve of them.” said Prakash Kaur.
3) Prakash Kaur didn’t want a divorce, which is why Dharam paji and Hema converted. Btw, Salim Khan’s two wives don’t stay in the same house.
4) Of course, the Deol kids were angry. But, they seem more mad at Hema than at their father. Dharam would still see them everyday as he lived with them and you can see publicly they love him to death. It’s just his other family they didn’t care about.
5) None of Dharam’s kids with Prakash gets along with Hema. They love their mother way to much and to like Hema would be like disrespecting their mum. They don’t care much for Esha and Ahana either. Dharam couldn’t even convince them at attend these girls’ weddings. Only Abhay came.
6) Esha and Ahana have never complained about their father. That was the way they were brought up, so they don’t know any different. But, it’s their mother who pretty much brought them up.
Hmm… Was Hema an established actress by the time she met Dharmendra? I know she was very talented with that Bharatnatayam and all, as well as was considered very beautiful. It wasn’t like she needed him to save her career or anything, right?
Prakash Kaur’s statement reads like an under-confident woman trying to convince herself that it’s okay for people to break her heart while trying to be strong in public for her family.
P.s. If you have the time please update that Deol family post with all this info.
lolzz…since some is a politician that too of BJP doesnt stop that person from being a philanderer or an admirer or from having an affair…rebel, off course she has that image though…wat abt raveena, she has some adopted daughters, who are married too
All that is ok, but who is the starlet who these ladies seem to be fond off? That remains unanswered 🙂
Vidyut
Hema! Surprising. Being a bjp politician i dont think she would do this. Zeenat has always been a rebel. She fits this way better.
