Bollywood Blind Item – March 2019 – 26

The blind item below might clear the doubts that many of you had when you learned about this actress’s being chosen as the one to act opposite this superstar in this renowned filmmaker’s upcoming film. No, it’s not a father-daughter story. It’s also not a grandfather-daughter story. It is also also not a mentor-mentee story. Which ends up with it being creepily a love story between an old man, who’s still a virgin, and a very young girl.

This is not cute, by any means. Just really really creepy. First, let’s address this. Many of you have asked over and over again if NaaginJo has some kind of share or if he bought PinkVilla. Well, no he didn’t. What he might be doing is giving them tips, stories and blind items, like he most likely did with the blind item below. Because how else will they get the storyline from this film?

This kind of story has been done, but the actress’ age was significantly higher and she didn’t look like a child. This one looks like a mess. But…But, it will be interesting to see how this filmmaker decides to make it. He has his own ways, so let’s just hope he doesn’t encourage the superstar and actress to get to know each other better like he did with the other actor-pair he worked with.

Let’s see how his magic will work then. In the meantime, check out this blind item from Mumbai Mirror.

    Bollywood Blind Item

    Bollywood Blind Item – March 2019 – 25

Is this TOP FILMMAKER’S next with a MEGA STAR a rehash of an earlier movie?

This has been touted to be THE announcement of the year as it brings together some of the biggest names of Bollywood! The filmmaker known for his larger-than-life, grandiose style of filmmaking, has roped in a mega star and a top actress, known for her selection of quality movies. While the announcement of the movie created ripples in the film industry, there were hushed murmurs also of the big age difference between the mega star and the actress.

There were speculations galore about the story… While some felt it was the story of a father and daughter, others felt that it could be the love story between a mature man and a young girl.

Apparently, it’s none of the these but an older man, embittered with life, getting married to a much younger woman (who is beautiful, carefree and full of life) and falling in love with her, how he woos her and their relationship develops till he manages to make her love him too.

It’s a story delving deep into marriage, love and relationships and is said to be the director’s best works till date. He had a fallout with the hero of his movie a few years back but it seems all is well now as his hero absolutely loved the role when he heard the narration.

The theme is apparently similar to a movie which was a romance too. The film was made more than three decades ago and was the debut movie of a senior star today. It revolved around a young girl who was forced to marry and older man though she loved somebody younger.

When her husband comes to know he promises to reunite the two lovers but in the end she realises that her mangalsutra is more powerful than her love and stays back in the marriage. While the contemporary filmmaker’s movie may not be identical in its story line, the tale of a much-younger girl married to an older man has been told before.

The filmmaker too has been known to delve into complex relationship sagas. While he has already directed a love triangle earlier where the girl has an arranged marriage, in the end she does not marry her lover but later falls in love with her husband.

The climax had resulted in a fallout between one of his heroes in the movie who had wanted that the lovers be united. But now this shouldn’t be the case as his hero gets to marry the young girl and make her fall in love with him too. The young actress too has an equal role in the movie which is said to be a romcom and not a dark, tragic tale as the director is known to make.

    1. HDDCS was copied from woh saat din , which was a copy of a south movie. So Bhansali is making a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy 😛

    2. Looks like SLB’s first big flop movie in years after Guzaarish. Atleast that had a moving plot and HR was brilliant. Happened to him after HDDCS,Devdas and Black success when Sawariyan flopped.

    3. Is it the same script based on balika vadu that Alia auditioned with Ranbir for slb movie back when both were ok good terms?

    4. Why are people using the term child marriage..lets not trivialize child marriage here to mean a wedding between 2 adults of legal age with signigicant age difference.

    5. We should not be promoting a story of older men wooing and marrying young women. Child marriage is a problem India needs to tackle, not glorify on the big screen.
I was disgusted seeing Salman romance Sonam in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Rather cast Abhishek Bachchan or Akshaye Khanna as the male lead, and cast Alia or Kriti as the female lead. This pairing will be less offensive.

      1. are you stupid? by that logic PC shouldnt have married Nick and Madonna shouldnt be with younger men? 18 to 72 are all adults and two consenting adults dont need your stupid policing..just apply it to youself and keep in your head.

    6. I really wish Kangana was in Alia’s place, in an SLB movie, in a role that’s of equal importance as the hero. Would’ve fitted her perfectly!

    7. Did anyone else feel Rk was more comfortable and lively around Dp and maybe even Kat than Alia during these award shows?

I know Aloobir is fake, but why is he so cold to Alia? Is he at gunpoint doing this?

And it’s not like he’s actually on good terms with Dp or Kat. So if he can act cordial for cameras why not with Alia when it’s to sell their film or for probably their pairing which will reach mandap for mutual benefits?

    8. Early marriage is a huge problem in the developing world today – how irresponsible of Bollywood honestly

    9. In Band Baaja Baraat, Anushka was 20 to Shahrukh’s 43, and in Sultan she was 28 to Salman’s 51. Same goes for Fatima and Aamir in Thugs. Even then there were comments about how they look like their fathers. It’s creepy AF. But if the movies make a profit and are hits, Bollywood won’t care about the extremely creepy Lolita like stuff they keep churning out. At least Shahrukh and Aamir are still somewhat lean. Salman with his new found girth, jowls, eye bags and scarcity of hair and Alia with her tiny waif like self….dear god, I hope better sense prevails.

    10. Why does SLB always use controversial scripts!! This is so disgusting although he will direct it well. Poor Alia who looks like a baby in front of SK

    11. Old man – young woman marriage! DISGUSTING!! Feel pukish even thinking of it, have seen several sad stories in news channels. Of course, SLB will remove the wrinkles and Salman is fit to not look like a 60yr old but the theme itself is disgusting, considering how society is still plagued by parents selling off their young daughters to marry grandpas. THIS is not what is required. Cant imagine, which all villages will see this movie, giving hopes to old men searching for kids to marry OR giving false hopes to young girls forced to marry grandpas.

If at all, the story could’ve been how the young girl escapes marriage to find her feet, that would’ve been more progressive. Just because SLB wants to re-collab with Salman and DP doesnt want to work with Salman or for time being with SLB, doesnt mean he should create a pathetic story just to fit in Alia in a character of young chirpy girl (like I said earlier, she would not fit in any typical SLB kind heroines, she will have to be cast in a young bubbly role, she is of Hirani/Imtiaz type of heroine). If Alia transforms herself physically to look mature, ONLY then it will seem compatible. There’s a reason Jacqueline, Kat, look okay with Salman..they all have a large body frame with super-mature faces and with Kareena..she looks like mid 30s, not late teens like Alia..so Kareena works well with Khans who also look mid40s, not mid 50s which is their actual age. Alia’s tiny body frame will make it difficult for her to fit in mature roles or opposite mature heroes, unless either Alia is VFXed to appear larger or Oldies are VFXed to appear younger.

There’s a reason, Sara was chosen opposite Ranveer in Simbaa, and not Ajay Devgn. You’ve got to be real.

Yuck, will give it a pass.

      1. Still better than showing Sati in a positive light. SLB’s movies are extremely regressive. But I don’t see how portraying an odd relationship worse than the previous crap.

        1. So imagine a life of a sex slave where woman were treated like commodity, that’s not life. Being liberal is an option today but it was woman’s choice if they preferred to die or live like a slave.

    12. Haters should just stop whining. They are making a movie on crucial social issue like child marriage.

      1. Making love story through child marriage is an indirect support to child marriage, which is one of evils of society. as far as making movie on social issue is concerned, the movie is a step in wrong direction. do not make mockery of cause and support child marriage through that aloo actress ;who is miles away from reality and lives in her own bubble.

      2. It was supposed to be sarcasm on this weird approach taken for this movie. Obviously not everyone gets it.
And before woke people jump on me, no I did not make a joke on child marriage.

    13. The world has been calling out the manic pixie dream girl trope for decades now but we are in our own world, aren’t we.

      1. Seriously. Ugh. How many more movies where the girl “jeena sikha deti hai” to the troubled hero with a heart of gold

        1. @Aria @Whiskermole- took the words from my mouth. Even Imtiaz seems to have koved on from his beloved manic pixie dream girl trope
