This week’s blind item comes from Mid Day newspaper, which sometimes post interesting and far-fetching blinds. Sometimes these blinds seem true while at times, they seem too good to be true. Check out the “what seems true” blind below.
Shot in the dark: This actor is hogging all limelight
This actor will allegedly start marketing his film in advance in a bid to take the attention away from another superstar’s film
Both these actors are known for their unique promotional tactics and this time around, their releases are lined up for the second half of the year. While one actor’s film is scheduled to release during Diwali, another’s film is slated to release much later. But the latter, it seems, is keen on marketing his film already.
Says a source says, “These two actors know how to promote their films and they have been monitoring each other’s marketing plans. One of them likes to get involved in each stage of filmmaking and its promotions. And since his film is releasing in the last quarter of the year, he now wants to start promoting it even before Diwali. He wants to create as much buzz around the film as possible.”
Incidentally, this is not the first time that the actor has tried to steal the limelight from the other. “They are not exactly rivals; they have had no arguments in the past. However, when it comes to marketing one’s film, this actor likes to know that he has the have upper hand. A few years ago, he chose to call for a press conference for his upcoming project a month before Diwali, even though the project was scheduled to start only four months later. This actor just wanted make his presence felt; he wanted to eat into the spotlight of the other actor, who had a film coming up a month later,” says the source.
Now that the other actor again has a big release coming up in Diwali, it remains to be seen how exactly this actor will go on to divert the media’s attention.
