Bollywood Blind Item – May 2018

The blind item below is about the current mind status of this young actor. Usually, actors are known for their acting skills but these days they are known as either a hit or a flop actor or an amazingly talented actor, who is just going through a rough time. Obviously, the latter is for supposedly gifted star kids not outsiders.

So as it is with this young actor, who is also a star kid, his latest film was critically well-received but at the box office, people didn’t rush over to see the film. Understandably so because it’s not your typical type of masala or commercial film. Films like the one he just did take a while to find its audience and usually it’s word of mouth that further helps the film at the box office.

With his latest film, the word of mouth factor came from his peers and colleagues in the industry itself. We don’t understand why he’s getting all panicky. And just because this other young actor got the biggest opening of his career doesn’t mean that this actor’s achievement is any lesser.

Guess like they say, the higher you rise the more paranoid you become. Wait! Is that a saying? Maybe we picked it up from somewhere. Anyways, did any one of you watch this film? You know what? All the praises from this actor’s colleagues made us think then that perhaps while the film and his performance were great, they knew it wasn’t going to be a box office hit. It’s obvious, isn’t it?

Check out the blind item below from Mumbai Mirror.

Bollywood Blind Item – May 2018

BOLLYWOOD’S darling seems to be having a bad case of nerves, we hear. His latest outing has been such a dud, he just isn’t able to explain it away. The actor — known to be among the most bankable young stars — has always planned his filmography by alternating between serious and commercial movies. But his latest film has tanked, even as his biggest competitor’s (yes another) action extravaganza has gone blockbuster. And that is giving him sleepless nights. Well, what can we say except that a little angst is good for one’s art.

    1. Champak Bhoomia

Pity. I caught October on the day of its release and thought it was quite a well done movie. Varun wasn’t too bad, although there were quite a few scenes, where you could see he was struggling to stay in character. The movie is really good, but not a feel good weekend watch, but more of a rainy afternoon Netflix and chai watch. That being said, now that October has supposedly failed at the box office, Varun’s probably gonna go FULL masala, and make stuff that’ll make the likes of even Govinda and Ranveer Singh cringe….

    2. Having said that, I also wonder whether someone wanna make it look like he’s insecured. The norm is, unless you make enemies with “the gang” (perhaps jealously) we never get to hear anything about nepo gang. This might be true and someone leaked it out. Or someone is worried about his success ( like it not, he has a better record against RK, Sid) and this is the second blind on the same thing

    3. I already said October look like dull n boring no energy no excitement. Varun just copy legend govinda sir except he is nothing no charm no talent nothing

    4. I was more surprised by the words of Varun alternating commercial films and serious ones, what? 95 percent of his films are banal masala. Serious only two are Badlapur and now October. as he alternates? 10 films masala and one serious it alternates? Varun too tries to become 2 Salman or Govinda, he does not have his own personality. But he is pleasant to me, I hope he has a good future. I can not call him super talented, but he’s definitely better than Tiger

    5. Should’t varun be more worried about ranveer or ranbir.

Tiger’s movies will only work out if they are in masala, action or dance space. It’s still uncertain whether Tiger will turnout be a successful star or not. Is it cause tiger’s movies are also produced by sajid nadiadwala and kjo and if varun fails to deliver at box-office , they’ll shift their loyalities to Tiger??/

      Am i missing something???

    6. Varun seems to be insecure AF. This is the second blind about him being insecure of Tiger and Bhaagi 2 box office success. Varun should stick to his masala movies if all he wants is box office success. Read in one of interviews that his father give him suggestions on how Salman or Govinda will act in a particular scene. Now I understand why he mimics Govinda and Salman so much in his movies. Thats who his father wants him to be. Wannabe Salman.

No matter how much the paid media/critics/bollywood bigwigs try to hype is acting talent, he is not talented enough. His voice and dialogue delivery was atrocious in October trailer. But I have a feeling he will be getting all the awards for October.

      1. @admin are alia ranbir finally dating? alia’s recent film fare interview seems to praising him to the moon

    7. A movie name October came out recently??? :-0 never heard of it … anyway Tiger is way a better actor than varun, better actor, better dancer, better looker and way better personality. Be gone Varun.

      1. This had me laughing hard, you call tiger an actor, yes he is a good dancer has a great body but sorry he is stone faced. The worst is the way he says his dialogues. And to say this it does not mean that varun is any better, Varun is also so OTT.

      2. I think Varun is a better actor when compare with Tiger(Not with others) , But when it come to action, acrobats & dancing Tiger scores higher.

      3. I really hope this is a joke. Tiger is a professional dancer, the SRK does not know the technique of dancing, Tiger is a professional fighter, the SRK even does not know what it is, but SRK knows how to work well with face and facial expressions, Tiger does not even know what it is

      4. Tiger have lots of facial expressions, is just that his face is so full of muscles that you have to look really good to see it 🙂 but it is there. I pride myself on my 50/50 vision.

      5. Tiger wants be like his idol Hrithik. That is why he is working so hard to improve his body, dancing and action. But unlike Hrithik Tiger is wooden faced. I may not like Varun and he tends to overact but he can give some limited expressions.
Tiger is marketing himself as the next-gen action hero/ dance hero. He knows his strenghts and is focusing on building a career based on his strenghts. Varun is insecure because as he is a mediocre actor (no matter what the paid media/bollywood bigwigs say) he can’t compete with Ranveer or Ranbir. The only upperhand he had over Ranveer and Ranbir was his bankability and box office success. But if Tiger becomes more bankable he is in deep trouble as he will loose the edge he has over all the gen next actors (And he is overhyped as the most bankable gen-next actor as well).. Also Tiger is a better dancer and action hero than Varun, so he can compete with Tiger in that department as well.
