The blind item below is about a film that has been in the making for years now. It was announced with such a huge fanfare and then it just kept on shooting and shooting without an end in sight.
Finally, a couple of months ago, the makers, cast and crew announced that the film will be releasing in theaters this December. Then, the lockdown happened. As it is with most films, shooting had to stop. It’s only about 4 weeks ago that they are slowly easing back to shoot the remaining parts of the film.
The VFX part has already been sent to London long time back so what’s left now is dubbing and ending the shoot. As of now, even if the film is done shooting and post-production is complete, it will be hard to see when they will finally be able to release the film. Mr. Perfectionist already has next December booked for his film so they will have to find other release dates.
As soon as theaters will open up again, producers are likely to see first the response of the films that will be released before deciding to release their own films. So all in all, it will take time and there are already big films on the backlog ready to be released. The kind of big films that will not be suitable to be seen on any OTT platform. This one too is the same!
Let’s not forget the amount of hate that people related to this film got in the last 4 months or so. There’s a huge chance, many will promote a boycott on this film because the agenda now is to not support anything these two do!
Check out the blind item below from Mumbai Mirror.
Bollywood Blind Item
EVEN though this film has been in the making for years, and is said to have been finally completed, it has run into rough weather once again. As it is, its script has a prolonged runtime, for which it had been accorded an escalated budget. Not surprising that the studio backing it wants to chop up a major portion. The film’s release is also a wait and watch game now.
OSOP Guess
Film: Brahmastra
The actor of this movie is a casanova, who is now busy whitewashing his image. The actress of this movie used nepotism to wrong outsiders and became a blot on friendship. The producer of this movie is an entitled brat who behaves as if he owns Bollywood. Even if they manage to recover budget for this movie, how will they recover loss of goodwill from the mind of audience?
In future, due to their clout even if their movies work, they wouldn’t be respected by audience.
hahaha, well said. the only one benefitting from this movie is Neetu.. she got a bahu 😀
