How do we know about this film? We had no idea about its existence, everything about it…no idea, whatsoever! Until…
Two years ago at the peak of the pandemic, the first look of this film came out. It was trending as #TheLegend on Twitter so we automatically thought must be Kamal Haasan or Rajnikanth but upon clicking on the trend this picture came up:
Seriously, we thought the man in this picture was wearing a disguise because why else would this be a #TheLegend trend? It had to have a legend. Little did we know! He looks a bit strange. Can’t decide if it’s because of all the makeup on him or the fact that he looks like someone pasted a huge head on a boy’s body, photoshop gone wrong!
Oh, that’s Urvashi Rautela in the picture. Rumor has it, she was rewarded handsomely for agreeing to be in this film. And the man in the picture calls himself ‘Legend Saravanan’!
Legend Saravanan, also known as 51-year old Arul Saravanan, is the owner of a famous store chain in Chennai called Saravana Stores. He has a whole family, his daughter had one of the biggest weddings when she tied the knot, lavish! How he got into acting, you ask? He actually started out by acting in the commercials for his own stores alongside top actresses. He’s loaded and seems to love the limelight! And now that he tested the waters with his commercials, he decided he was ready to make his entry on the big screen!
If you see the trailer, you can sense he spare no expense to make a quality product. He does have the money, so why not? He went all out for his first film but strangely he decided to go with a screen name, ‘The Legend’? Was it given to him or did he name himself?
Anyway, the ‘The Legend’ had its big audio launch function yesterday. It was a super huge costly event. There was no big heroes in attendance, probably not to take the attention away from ‘The Legend’ man himself! But there were 10 heroines who were invited to come and they did make all the effort to be there for this audio launch. The Legend made sure of that, as he rewarded them handsomely for their presence and even arranged a private flight for all of them, individually. How much money does he really have to burn?
By the way, upon finding out who he was then, we had a blast checking out his commercials. Clearly, he is inspired by Rajnikanth’s trademark walk. But who in the world gave him the idea of stepping out and appearing in his commercials alongside leading actresses? We wouldn’t want you to miss out!

Before we forget, ‘The Legend’ is the last film of the famous Tamil comedian, Vivek. He passed away suddenly last year. May he rest in peace.
