December 2017 – Bollywood Blind Item 2

This actor once had everything going for him. You know what the problem with that is? He took all this for granted. As we all tend to do as human beings when things go well for us, he also did the same and ended up taking the audience for granted. The audience rejected the films he gave them and since then, he has been trying to find ways to get back the glory he once experienced.

He is well-aware how his contemporaries/colleagues have been moving ahead of him with their superhit films. So, he must really be feeling the pressure to make it. He should have instead utilised the time to just take a break and figure out his next move. He’s literally hopping on everything that once worked with the hope that it works out for him.

Sometimes, when things are not working out and all your efforts are going to vain, the best thing to do is take a step back and analyse your next move. It’s not to try someone’s else formula that worked for them. Different things work for different people, that’s why all of our destinies are different roads to success and failure.

Anyways, check out the blind item on India.com to know who we are talking about.

Guess Who? Panicked Superstar Is Going OTT To Ensure His Next Film Is A Hit

While his last few projects have managed to earn profits at the box office, they haven’t achieved the kind of blockbuster success that his films usually enjoy. He is aware that the audience is changing, leaning towards content driven cinema instead of star driven.

The superstar has realized that his stardom is at stake and all it will require is just a couple of more duds for the audience to write him off. What with age already catching up. No wonder then, he has hit the panic button already. We hear that he is spending sleepless nights and restless days thinking about how to make his upcoming film a major hit.

The fact that it is still in the making gives him scope to change things about it to ensure it is a runaway success. From what we know, it looks like he is just putting in all the tried and tested formulas that have worked for his films in the past – multiple heroines, turn-hearts-into-mush romantic angle, larger than life sets, special song with some of the most glamorous faces et al.

The downside of all this is, the audience has already seen him do exactly these things so there will be no novelty factor to what he has to offer in his next, except for the challenging character he plays.

His recent experiments have failed and he has learnt that moving drastically away from his image may not be the best thing to do right now. With his next, the hero is trying to present a perfect mix of old and new to strike gold at the box office. In fact, he is not even reading or signing any new films as of now and has also put his other businesses on the back burner to be able to focus all his energies into making this current project at hand bigger and better. Only time will tell how all this planning helps his film and its success.

    1. Well, the problem for SRK at the moment is, that neither the crass blockbusters such as Happy New Year, nor the experiments like Fan are really working. I can’t even bring myself to watch JHMS. He certainly can act well outside of his star comfort zone in content-driven films, like in Swades, Chak De and Paheli. I also liked him in Dear Zindagi, though Alia and the film itself irritated the hell out of me. I guess he’s trying to do content-driven again with Aanand Rai’s film. But caught between SRK the star and SRK the actor – where does he go from here?

      1. It’s sad because he’s been the king for so long, and now you can see with his choices that he doesn’t choose to lend his name to good movies but keep doing movies that reinforce the fact that he’s a star. He just wants to keep stroking his ego. I used to be very jealous of him, still am jealous of everything he has, but watching him like this is a bit sad.

    2. during what happened in pre production and casting of this film and the late night visit!!! and the all the changeS in the film RAEES…….I took an oath to NOT watch this films in theater ,everyone(family &friends) is making fun of me for this decision, but the things i did as a FAN ,Who blames them 🙂 ……….& IF him or his pr are reading (all the tried and tested formulas did NOt help HNY and deepika was the heroine, and if everything went with Director’s visions ,it will be another jab tak hai jaan a nice film with really bad bad bad acting , and last, FYI this film will have a clash and u will kiss everyone #@%$ to avert it ) .

    3. SRK was once the best actor ever with his boyish aura, his innocent charms, any movie he starred in was sure to be a blockbuster, just because of that star quality that was him. I totally agreed that he have allowed the stardom to get to his head and now that boyishness and innocence have gone and the star is gradually dimming but he have made a name for himself. I dont know what he is doing with his money that he needs to get blockbusters again. I also dont think that his affair with PC is contributing to his downfall. Noone can blame him or PC for what transpired between them. We the audience dont know his personal life to know the relationship he had with his wife for him to turn to PC. Honestly I do believe that if he only make a movie with PC that would be his saving grace. This is what the world wants. Drama drama and more drama. Tell me nobody dont want to see Kangana and Hrithik star together lol

    4. never cared for him except in Swades and Dil Se, where he gave restrained performances….. but otherwise cannot stand him…. and I get bored of his verbose speeches too……

    5. Karma has caught up with him. Heard even farah khan whom he is trying hard to please once again is taking a younger person in her movie. Kjo also not showing much interest. Priyanka on the other hand is doing quite well and finally looks relaxed.

    6. Oh how I used to love his movies back then. He lost his charm and there are so much negatively around him.
      1. Priyanka factor really effected his image/reputation
      2. He’s hanging on to KJo’s gang praising them.(I read him saying he did Dear Zindagi only because he wanted to work with Alia. )
      3. He used to honest rather less pretending.
      4. He selects the most stupidest scripts of all- I mean JHMS, what the hell was it. I felt pity for him after watching it.

Right now, I prefer watching his interviews (solo – not with somebody else, so he has to fake and butter up the other person) because only plus point is, he hasn’t lost his wit
