This is what Kangana Ranaut seems to be either saying or asking Rekha in a recently released image by Mumbai Mirror.
Rekha shocked everyone when she walked into Neetu and Rishi Kapoor’s wedding ceremony with sindoor on her forehead. Everyone forgot about the bride and started whispering about what-in-the-world is that doing on Rekha’s forehead? Like a true drama event happening, at that moment, Neetu fainted. That’s why you see Rekha checking her out and asking for water in her wedding pic!
Has anyone actually ever asked Rekha why she still wears sindoor? Some people say that she wears sindoor because she takes herself as the wife of Big B while others say that it is in honour of her last/late husband. We actually thought that she wears sindoor because of her relationship with her secretary, which was rumoured to be more than that years ago. We thought that she was making it official like she is taken and all that. Who knows?! Rekha was always slightly rebellious, always trying to be different!
On second thoughts, it looks like Kangu is asking Rekha, “Do you want to eat?”.
Rekha was really kind to her, it’s nice to see the women get along. Rekha has a good wrap with most. She’s found her way and survived through it all. I wonder if Jaya watches her and wished she never married Amitabh.
@Admin, I actually thought the sindoor is Rekha trying to show she feels ‘complete’ as a woman and feels ‘married to the divine’ despite not ‘having a man’ or some such. I remember her saying something like this in an interview (old stardusts magazines are the best!!! lol). She also said that she’s very in touch with her femininity and maternal instincts despite not being a mother because she nurtures the animals/pets around her. My thoughts on Rekha are that either she is an exceptionally evolved and spiritual person who was a bohemian misfit in the traditional 70s or that she really is unhinged because of all the traumas in her life since childhood.
Side note- Kangana really does know how to rock a sari!!
@ missreader. What u said about Rekha is a bit of both . She cannot not be unhinged atleast a bit with all the shit happened to her right from childhood. She must have adopted a sense of spirituality and it evolved further while wading through all the mess in her adulthood.
