The Steps to Take to Paint Laminate Floors:

First, remove any furniture or floor carpet on the room. Sand the floors lightly before you start to paint on it. Clean the floor by using a broom and small dustbin to make sure that the floors are free and clean from any dirt that might have been stuck on the floor before you begin sanding.

Once you have finished sanding the floor, remove the dust that you have created. Wipe away the dust by using a damp towel or a mop to wipe it from the floor. Leave the floor to dry completely.

Secure the edges of the walls with painter’s tape. These tapes will protect the wall from getting stained from the paint.

Then, apply the oil-based primer. Make a first coat by using paint roller or paint brushes. Allow the first primer to dry completely before the next coat of paint. When the first primer is dried, apply the paint of your choice. Let the paint dry completely before applying a second coat. This will make the second coat adhere better and smoothly.

When the second coat is applied and dried, apply polyurethane sealer. Add a coat of polyurethane to protect the newly painted floor after the second paint has dried. Leave the floor for several hours or for 24 hours to make sure that the paint is completely dry. Finally, return the furniture back to their place.
