Kajol made news earlier this week when she announced that she has sign on to work with Dhanush and his sister-in-law aka Rajinikanth’s daughter, Soundarya. The movie, ‘ Velaiilla Pattadhari 2’, will go on the floors soon and is set to release next year. If you remember, Kajol acted in ‘Sapney’ (Hindi) / Minsara Kanavu (Tamil) in 1997 alongside Prabhu Deva and the actor from Mani Ratnam’s ‘Bombay’ and ‘Roja’, Arvind Swamy. That movie had a couple of famous songs, including ‘Awara Bhavre’ and ‘Ek Bagiya Mein’. Speaking on her new collaboration with the Tamil film industry, Kajol said:
I am a little apprehensive. But I love the fact that I am going back to Tamil (cinema) after a very long time and I am also extremely excited.

Dhanush is a very fine actor. I haven’t seen Soundarya’s work but she looks like she knows what she is talking about and we get along very well. So, things will be good.
