The last time we used “Bollywood People” in the title, it was for Kebab Jo’s trip to meet the PM of India to discuss important matters. Haha! He should have brought Kangana Ranaut. It would have been interesting to see Kangu blasts the PM and Kebab Jo together.
So, over the last week Kangana Ranaut appeared at several events to promote ‘Manikarnika’.
In case you are wondering, ‘Manikarnika’ has managed to earn 84.55 crore in just 12 days. If it continues playing in theatres, it might very well reach 100 crore.
Can you imagine Kebab Jo’s reaction if that does really happen? How much did his ‘Raazi’ manage to make? Since he continues to speak about it relentless, girl-power and all that crap!
Kangana was at this screening where school kids were invited to watch the film with her. It was at that event that she let out whatever it was she was holding in. She blasted everyone in Bollywood for not supporting her or the film. She also claimed that they are ganging up against her.
About the director, Krish. Kangana said that before this controversy, no one knew who he was and now thanks to the film, he is getting all the publicity he needs. She urged the media present at that event to not pay any attention to that and to focus on the film and its many other technicians. Talk about them also, she said.
He has been credited for his work in the film and it is very incorrect on his part to say something like that. If he has any issues with the film, then he should talk to the producers and should not attack me for that reason. He should prove whatever he is saying. Nothing will come out of it if he will keep talking about it in the media.
Who can forget her epic reply to all those who ran to Bollywood Hungama with their complaints:
I would suggest Krish one thing — he should make one film with this entire company. In that film, he should cast Sonu as a villain, Mishti as lead actress and he should hire Apurva to write the story of the film. He should make such a film that I can get to learn a lesson from that.
The funniest moment in that event is when Kangana said this in Hindi:
Is Jhansi queen my aunt? Her contribution to the freedom struggle has made the country free. It’s not only Kangana Ranaut who is free.
Here’s the thing.
On one hand, she said that she does not need anyone’s support in Bollywood. Let them support one another, I have National Awards. Her words.
Then, she blasted them for not supporting her or the film publicly. To be fair, it was a journalist who asked her about it. In a way, it was a correct question because the industry tweets in support of every crap film, but no one famous tweeted in support of ‘Manikarnika’ or Kangana.
The other day, Ajay Devgan tweeted in support of Akshay Kumar’s film! Who would have thought! Mr. CreepyEyes and Mr. CreepyBones supporting each other. Must be someone familiar in between them that might just out them both out!
It is alright for her to blast them since she feels that they all used her. She did appear at the screenings that she mentioned and she did praise these actors, but when no one came out for her, she got mad.
It’s a normal reaction and it’s obvious that she is hurt and disappointed that they would do her like this. She probably just realised how they are all conspiring against her and wanting her to fail.
From all the veterans, Asha Parekh, Rekha and Waheeda Rahman have publicly praised her. From the younger lot, Shraddha Kapoor has spoken about Kangana and ‘Manikarnika’.
Anupam Kher recently tweeted in her support:

Kangana was also invited on Republic TV to talk about the film. But there, a low-battery Arnab had 3 ladies by his side to shout out their questions to Kangana. Arnab was probably scared that Kangu would humiliate him with her answers because we all know she can give it right back. If he yells at her, she will yell back. That would have been quite something to watch! This is why he had 3 ladies there do his dirty work!
The funny thing is, you have an established actress like her come on your show and all you can ask her is why these actors are complaining that she cut out their roles?! Clearly, they wanted another controversy from her but Kangana answered back nicely.
People are saying that we want lead roles in the film. I just want to tell them that work hard for that. They will not get anything by crying in public. They should earn their place. Today, I have become a filmmaker on my own credibility. I will once again direct a film and it will be better than ‘Manikarnika’.
They also wanted Kangana to name all these people that she said was ganging up against her and she said she won’t say it on national television.
What Bollywood is doing, the planning and plotting, one thing is for sure, earlier I used to call them out for sexism, nepotism or pay disparity, but now I’ll be after them. ‘Inki vaat laga dugi’. I’ll expose each and every one. They have asked for trouble by ganging up against me.
How come when Akshay Kumar edited other actors’ roles in his film, no one went to BollywoodHungama to complain about it? Or even to the media? Shah Rukh Khan changed the script of ‘Zero’ and Anand L Rai’s reputation as a bankable director went down the dumps, you don’t hear him complaining to Faridoon right? You don’t see Arnab asking SRK, why he destroyed Anand’s career, right?
Like we mentioned in the other post, the backlash that Kangana got for being the director of this film is just unfair. If the film had bombed badly, no one would have come forward to say anything. They all talk as if Kangana is like some powerful underworld don, who has so much power to make everyone on the sets bow down to her, including her producer who put his money in this film and Zee Studios. Like if, she is the only one who sat in that editing room and edited the whole film by herself after she tied the editors up or lock them up somewhere!
Speaking of underworld don, you all remember how everyone was praising Ranbir for his portrayal of a white-washed criminal on the big screen? Especially Kebab Jo! They also have no problem supporting other creeps publicly, but they couldn’t publicly speak out for Kangana or at least for this film?
Let’s take Sonam’s last film, for example. Everyone tweeted and about the film and praised her. Did they not praise Kangana because she was bad in the film? Was Sonam that good that they all had to tweet in her support, but Kangana was so bad that’s why they didn’t say anything.
Or what about all that support and love for Salman Khan’s brother-in-law? Was it because he is a young Robert DeNiro in the making?
Don’t say because she brought it on herself.
Remember that these people are supporting criminals openly. Pretending these criminals are all saints. But this girl calls them out for nepotism and other things and they boycott her?
Clearly, she bruised their egos so bad that they had to gang up against her. Speaking of Nepotism. Isn’t it strange how KJo denied it then and look at how many star kids he has since launched?
Now we are wondering who initiated this boycott? Kebab Jo?
Who called up everyone and asked them not to tweet or speak about this film?
Speaking of calling up Bollywood People, Kangana revealed that she called up Alia and asked why she didn’t come to see the film. We are guessing she is referring to the screening where she invited a bunch of Bollywood People that she thought were her friends.
I reached out to Alia (Bhatt) and asked her what makes her think Manikarnika is my personal controversy, it’s a film whole nation is talking about and wondering why Bollywood is keeping quiet on such a relevant work……I asked her if I can be courteous and gracious to acknowledge her requests for encouraging relevant work that she does, why is she so scared to see my film.
I suggested that she grows some spine and support an important film about woman empowerment and nationalism….if she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being KJo puppet then I don’t consider her successful. I told her if she is only focusing on earning bucks and not raise a voice, then her success has no value. Hope she understands the true meaning of success and her responsibilities.

Wonder if Aloo Paratha cried over Kebab Jo’s shoulders as soon as Kangana hanged up that call! That must have been quite something. Alia must have been playing her usual dumbo role to Kangana on the phone like, “Your film released? I didn’t know, yah! I am too busy trying to stop Ranveer from jumping into random crowds, I haven’t noticed at all! Also, I don’t have internet and TV at home!”
Jokes aside, Alia actually said this:
As I have said before, I really admire her as an actor and the choices that she makes. She’s a very outspoken person and I admire her for that as well. If I have upset her unintentionally, then I don’t know. Basically, it wasn’t my intention. I didn’t do anything to get a reaction like this.
If she really did ask Kangana to promote her film and come over to her film’s screening, then that’s not fair that she did not reply to Kangana when she was invited to ‘Manikarnika’s screening.
The thing is, these Bollywood People are mistaken. They think people care about what they think. If they did, no one would have contributed to that 80+crore this film made. Truth is, people go and watch the film if it is good, if there’s someone they like in the film and if Word of Mouth (WOM) spreads positively like crazy!

There seems to be more to this. Kangana must know more, but she is not revealing it. It must be something that really pissed her off like this.

It is clear in Bollywood that not only will they never let a woman get ahead of them, they will also never let an outsider do better than them.

Sometimes, we wonder if Kangana is really as bad as all these people claim she is, why is she still getting movie offers? Why are studios bankrolling her projects?
If she was that problematic, no one would have dared to come near her. She must be doing something right other than having the right amount of talent in her bloodstream.
We think these people, the studios and people who work with her, they know exactly what is going on and how the industry works. That’s why Kangana Ranaut is still getting work today. Much to the chagrin of her Bollywood People!

If that was the case then Sid Malhotra would have been a Big star today. He’s literally got everything going for him, all his films are KJo produced,…but not acting and screen presence. Kangana has those two and nothing else, she’ll do just fine. And KJo and a few other have admitted to promoting others films on social media out of friendship and on being paid.
Are you agreeing or disagreeing with me? I pretty much said the same thing. Bollywood support can take you only so far. If Kangana was relevant/powerful enough, KJo would be the first one kissing her ass. KJo is absolutely shameless there and will go to any lengths to hang out with successful people.
Kangana is good, but she has no tact and there is no dearth of talented actors in Bollywood. People are not blinded by stars anymore and she literally has had only two hits. Queen and Tanu weds Manu Returns.
If you want to play with the big bad boys, behave tyrannically, control direction and editing and reduce all your co stars to insignificant entities, then you must belong to that club. The bad boys can carry a movie, dole out hits and very important have excellent PR. They are also influential. Aamir and SRK, as novices, were nobodies. They accumulated power. So Kangana you’re talented, intelligent, witty but you need to be tactful till you accumulate enough hits and real power. At the moment you’re out of control. And BTW you’re a typical Northie . Honestly to me, Admin’s supportive posts for Kangana is really in bad taste. But accepting it as his/her viewpoint. I’m seeing its getting a lot of support in comment sections too. But to the ones who are clearly seeing the real point here, thank you, I’m glad to see not all are blind. Feminism, individualism is all a must, but to practise it in the real sense is not up to many.
I’m a feminist and for its about right and wrong, not man and woman. So this excuse of a man did it, but woman being picked is not something I’ll teach my children or encourage in my environment. What is wrong is wrong. If someone is getting called out for it, good I’d say.
I’m someone who supported Kangana thinking she’s the voice of right and guts. And I regret it today. Hansal Mehta who stood by her is now against her. So I won’t be surprised if tomorrow Kamal Jain is against her bz now he has a film that has to roll.
In all this I’m sad only for one thing. Rani of Jhansi deserved a better film and better actor and better team who would pay her the tribute she deserved. This was a sure shot for the most successful female centric film. But the way it’s underperformed despite having the inspirational Rani as subject, it’s sad.

you are right, there aren’t many good actresses in bollywood; most likely because of how badly females are treated. They should be ashamed of calling it an industry which cant provide a safe and respectable place for decent females to work. I dont know how its for fans but for regular people a film is a package and NOT a talent show when an individual shows his or her acting talent. The film should work overall and find its audience.
And sometimes it does not require superior acting skill to make a film do well , just about decent actors can do. A lot of regular audience cant differentiate between a decent actor to an exceptional artist.
As far as Alia is concerned …she made a deal with the Devil. Kjo will have his pound of flesh .

Btw admin have you seen the twitter comments on celebs who are appreciating gully boy. The public is calling out their bias and hypocrisy left right and center regarding how none of them supported Manikarnika but all of them are appreciating gully boy and promoting. Gully boy maybe a good movie not questioning it because I haven’t sent it but public is realizing the blatant favoritism that Bollywood displays and how some of these smaller actors appreciate something do that they get 2 minute side roles in a big directors movie. Some of these people didn’t even appreciate Uri. One I am happy about is the public is aware and is not going to go by celeb or so called critic or paid reviews. URI did well because the audience accepted and loved it. Tanushree was right sooner or later Bollywood needs to come around or they run the risk of becoming irrelevant.

but yeah i agree that even as she completely hit the nail on the head in the above two situations at other times she comes across as petty and vindictive. she is not doing herself any favours by threatening ki ek ek ki waat laga doongi, i mean if she does know something damning and incriminating about people then come out with it, whats with the dramatic but empty threats? and as someone mentioned its not just fear of KJO that has kept people silent. she has also burnt too many bridges …deepika, shahid, sonam, there was that weird rumour about ranbir…i think basically people are scared of saying anything and getting pulled into a media sh1tstorm… bollywood in any case tends to clam up when the going gets tough…i dont think many people stood up for deepika or SLB either even though they received actual death threats and the film’s release was being blocked in three states… only after it was a hit people found their voice again…
and her insistence that people should support the film out of patriotism is just plain silly. i havent seen manikarnika only because the trailer seemed pakao (and my friend who did see it confirmed my suspicion she said its bad, one-dimensional, no depth, no nuance). if she intends to continue directing hopefully the next time she will get it right. take the helm from the start and produce a superior quality product.
Kangana has fought and humiliated every one in Bollywood for no reason. Sonam, Alia were always supportive of her and even Deepika during Queen dedicated her award to Kangana. In spite of all this Kanagna went on to insult them in public saying very nasty things about them. Then how does he expect support in return? Is there a single movie where she did not fight with her co stars/directors/writers?
Slowly the public is also realising how fake she is and her psychotic behavior.
Can we stop justifying Kangana’s behaviour just because the men do it and are not called out? What is wrong is wrong. The producers and other actors in the film will support her because they want the film to make money. Don’t get it twisted.
Kangana is a very good actress however in this case, she’s playing the victim. Insulting people for not supporting your film is in very poor taste. I think it’s because she knows that depending on the success or failure of Gully Boy, her film may flop and she’ll look bad hence all these tactics to appeal to the public.
Kangana even tried claiming that she was being threatened like Deepika during Padmaavat promotions when it never happened thinking she could start an uproar to get support for her film.
This is the same woman who insulted virtually all of Bollywood for the last 2 years. She expected that once her film does well, all will be kissing her ass and want to be associated with her but to her chagrin, it didn’t happen.
Is this not the same woman who attacked Deepika who hadn’t done anything to her? From releasing her pictures from Manikarnika when DP’s pictures from Padmaavat were released to going as far as condemning Deepika for money spent on her own wedding. We all know that Deepika is not as good an actress as Kangana and the success of Padmaavat in my opinion was more due to Ranveer than DP but she has very good PR and people skills, hence her success.
The real reason Kangana called out Alia is because she wants to attack KJo. Why didn’t she call out Anuskha or Taapse or even Madhuri who she was seen in pictures with last year? She’s furious KJo treats her like she doesn’t exist despite the good opening figures. During her film promotions, she had mentioned that she’ll love to do a film with Karan. She thought with the box office response, KJo would make amends with her like he did with Ranveer, Akshay and Ajay but that didn’t happen. Alia may enjoy KJo’s promotion but you can’t deny that she’s a good actress and gets better with every film.
Kangana called out Aamir because she wanted to call out a Khan. (Yes, i said it) She didn’t dare call out Salman, after all she used his name during her film promotions to appeal to Salman’s fans when she said she’ll like to act with him. Not to mention that Salman and his fans are dangerous. SRK so far has stayed away for Kangana. Perhaps because SRK is an outsider like her, that’s why she spared him.
Besides, does Tanushree realise that it is because of the consent of women like Kangana, that’s why she was assaulted by Nana and his gang for rejecting his advances? In the beginning of her career, Kangana had affairs with married industry kids who had connections in the film industry to advance her career. She wanted to be the next Rani Mukerji with access to the resources and the scripts when she thought Ajay D or Hrithik would marry her but both men rejected her. (I wonder why she has never called out Ajay D. Maybe she’s saving the best for last)
It’s when she realized she can have solo success, she started “women empowerment” and calling out.

Someone else had pointed this out…think of your own profession…if a coworker behaved like this they will never ever be hired again and boycotted..regardless of gender. If she wants to headline a film and play in the big leagues like the Khans or Akki or DP..she should stop crying foul in the press and take it like a (strong) professional person (man or woman!). Is she the only actress who has starred in a female centric film? Vidya Balan has the ability to carry a film on her shoulders but have you ever heard a producer or a co-star say anything bad about her?
Kangana thought marrying a rich industry kid would be her ticket to being respected. She didn’t even care they were married. It blew up on her face. She thought becoming the female lead and director in a film like Manikarnika would lead to her being respected by the likes of KJo, it still blew up on her face.
You cannot earn respect by insulting others who have being in the industry longer than you have. Like it or not, if these people had not grown the film industry into a profitable venture, Kangana would not even be interested in being in it.
Even if Manikanika becomes super successful and Kangana goes on to become the greatest Bollywood actress of all time, she will be a deeply unhappy person if she continues like this. Success in the box office and love of fans does not equal personal happiness. If it did, the top stars of the world would be the happiest people

I couldn’t believe it when Kamal Jain suffered a stroke two days before release and the media/that idiot Bollywood Hungama dude tried to imply that Kangana caused it. The fact that they’ve been trying to bring this movie down since it was announced and it’s done 100Cr domestic, 140Cr worldwide is fantastic. Despite ALL the negativity and ZERO support/awareness. That’s all on Kangana’s strength as a performer. Impressive.

Bollywood outsiders are pathetic or actually wannabe pathetic like Bollywood insiders. For example : these outsider actors …anyone keep harping about one actor in certain talk shows and completely take a U turn and start praising other actor during promotions and different kind of talk shows.

Manikarnika is solely riding on Kangana’s shoulders – no item songs, no cameo, no other superstar to pull the audience. Had Kangana not been a part of Manikarnika, none of Krish, Sonu, etc. would had been part of. Nor, after quitting the project, would they cry for more credits than already given.
The movie was directed by 2 people and both got credits as co-directors (thanks to Krish quitting for NTR biopic in Aug 2018). What is Krish greedy about? He got known in BW due to Kangana alone. Probably, he is using this opportunity to make a name for himself in BW. Pathetic guy

Kangana does deserve any accolades that come her way for manikarnika but I find it a bit pretentious of her to antagonize the entire industry for not coming to her screening or rave about her film. She shows just as much selective outrage as she accuses others of. I loved kangana as an actress and even an individual up until the whole hrithik fiasco. Once that can of worms came out it only made me feel repulsed every time she made a hue and cry anytime her movie was concerned. But if KJo etc have actually used their clout to reduce the number of screens for Manikarnika, she has every right to be furious about it. I believe Amol said it in the media. There may not have been a massive spat about it like in Kangana’s case (since no one’s seen shit like this before) but it became news and then because of the media’s blind worship of Aamir Khan (Mr. perfectionist,eh?), the media quickly moved on from the subject, as they are wont to do.

No studio would spend more money to fix a movie if the first copy was “Golden” and if they did spend money to fix it but later realized the original was better they could’ve released the original. His anger shouldn’t be directed towards Kangana. Public likes the film, people are praising his work – what on earth is his problem? Studio went with her instead of him and sonu? @arti Krish did complete a film, he gave the studio a 3 & 1/2 hour first edit. The studio was not ok with it but by then he signed on ntr biopic and couldn’t do the rework as scheduled. He literally wanted to complete the works after Ntr pushing the movie back by a year. Even Sonu said on BH, he didn’t understand why they were pushing to reshoot in a haist why not wait until Krish had dates. Like the world is at the beck and call for them, like Sonu was the driving force of the film. The film was about Lakshmi Bai not them! Sonu should try his BS with Salman in Dabang Nah
Anyways, Studio hired another director but he left because he felt he couldn’t do the work so finally they went with Kangana. When she became the new director Sonu left the project, his excuse was Simba but later said he felt she was incompetent. Movie was on the brink of being shelved but she managed to get it done.
You can hate and cry and lie and manipulate as much as you like but the truth is the truth. Kangana directed that film too, as the new director it is totally up to her how to handle the film. Much of what he shot was used in the final edit, True but it was her choice on how she use that footage and how edited it into the film, it was her storytelling now.

AFAIK the only screening Kangana has gone to in recent years has been Raazi (or am I wrong?). And that was a wrong horse to back. Alia is of course KJO’s puppet, isnt that obvious?
However if she has proof of concrete steps the KJO gang took to sabotage her film, then she should produce the proof and let the court of public opinion take over. I for one have sworn off Dharma productions. Unless it stars one of my absolute faves (i.e. deepveer), and even then only if it gets ridiculously good reviews will i watch another Dharma film in the theatres. This attack is to force some character out of Alia and force KJo out of his hiding spot. KJo didn’t expect this move. Alia is all oblivious but she needs to buck up now. She doesn’t stand for anything at all.
Alia is not going to go against KJo for Kangana. He keeps her employed. All she has to do is cry and he will get her roles , promotions and negotiate for her. Kangana is apt in calling her a puppet. There are far more talented actresses and yet all the roles go to Alia because of KJo’s manipulative ways. Nepotism was always there in bollywood but Karan Johar took it to another ugly level and started openly mocking outsiders or bullying them or slandering them. All the star kids who get hate should actually target KJo because he has made nepotism hate worthy. Earlier we had star kids debut , some failed and some succeeded but it wasn’t pushed into our faces. Now even some of the star kids dont get work. People like Shraddha refuse to get bullied by KJo and end up with less work. However that is better than Alia who has sold her soul to the devil for work. I am sure rest of bollywood also detest her because of KJo stealing work from them. Aishwarya who is always diplomatic and proper couldn’t resist a dig at Alia getting all the work thanks to KJo. Its that bad.
