Trust KJo to announce he’s back as a director with a dramatic announcement!
So yes, he is back after his disappointing last outing, which is a bit weird since he was already supposed to be in the process of ‘Takht’s pre-production. Since the pandemic began, there have been rumours of the big project being shelved. He denied the news and claimed it has not been shelved! But until now, especially now that he has announced a new project, there’s no word on what’s going to happen to the film.
So back to his latest announcement, check it out here:
The surprise announcement came months after KJo became the target of people online, mostly trolls, after the untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Karan and Alia Bhatt were both heavily targeting by the media, mostly idiots looking to cash on this and increase their ratings with their screaming and shouting! Nonetheless, whoever thought all this will break KJo…It must have surely done…But looks like he’s back to remind everyone why he exists in Bollywood!
Here comes the ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ announcement:
An announcement about the leads, quite something, right? Even someone with none-existing fortune teller powers could have predicted that his own directed-film was going to star Alia Bhatt aka Aloo aka KebabJo’s beti! As for Ranveer, quite something that the same director, who thought he wasn’t good-looking enough or that he didn’t look like a star, has signed him as the main male lead in his film! Quite something, huh!
Ranveer has a film that is still waiting to be released in theatres since they don’t want to release it on any streaming platform. He has also started work on a film with Rohit Shetty since the lockdown started. And now, he has a Dharma Production film on hand!
As for Aloo, she has SLB’s film that’s already finished and Ayan Mukherjee’s film with Ranbir Kapoor that is still in the process of filming. This film with KJo will be her second film with him since he directed her in ‘Student of the Year’. It’s a wonder KJo didn’t put in his other minions in this film. The others must be wondering when will Aloo be out of the picture, so their turn can come!
Here’s the second announcement, which is way cooler, about the ensemble cast:
KJo must have been really busy these past months, considering how he managed to achieve all this to announce a project this fast. Getting Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra back together on the big screen after a long time is quite something! Can’t wait for the promos for this one!
Speaking of Dharmendra…If he is going to do this one, what’s going to happen to the film that is supposed to relaunch his grandson? He was supposed to do ‘Apne 2’ with his sons and grandson, is that not happening as well? It was announced during the lockdown last year, so what happened? For some reason, we thought he retired!
Shabana Azmi is also in this film, which is a bit strange considering how she was one of the firsts to criticize ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ when it came out. It was no biggie, Karan himself told everyone.
More than exciting, it will be interesting to see the kind of film he comes up with. He has a great cast at his service, let’s see how he uses that. Wonder if Aditya Chopra aka Mr. India will also announce his upcoming project next?
Most importantly, wonder what Kangu will have in store then! KJo is her favourite enemy, so expect no less Kangu bai!
Anyway…let’s go for a vote:
@Admin long time! Hope you’re doing well 🙂 Is it me or is Alia’s star on the wane, couple of years ago she was signing films left right and centre but now seems to have gone quiet, I mean signing another KJO film is hardly an achievement for her… meanwhile others Deepika, Katrina, Kriti especially seem to be on a signing spree of late… or is it just my wishful thinking 😀
Not excited by this one at all, frankly there is sooo much good content OTT now that Bollywood is going to have to try extra hard to match up … only Hindi ones that have been decent of late are Sherni and the Konkona/Aditi story in Ajeeb Dastaans by the director of Masaan which I highly recommend!
Hiya! All’s good in the hood! Hope you are all well too!
Aloo is actually doing well…it’s just her projects got delayed and no one knows for sure about the release in theatres for now so she’s kind of stuck!
By the way did you see the poll? almost 82 percent says nah, couldn’t care less , says it all.
KJO is a good director. And he seems to have gone back to his core- family dramas. Plus this starcast- I have high expectations from this. I wish KJO would focus more on directing in the future.
PS- Ranveer has 3 movies ready for release- 83, Jayeshbai Jordaar, Cirkus. Plus he is doing a TV quiz show, Netflix show with Bear Grylls… Man is on a roll!!
There’s no denying that kjo is a talented filmmaker. The sad part is that he uses his energy in bringing others down, specially outsiders, and low budget movie makers. Hopefully, by now he should have learnt from his mistakes and focuses on his craft only.
As far as star kids are concerned, outsiders are now more appreciated than star kids from audience irrespective of how many big banners nepo gang get…so no matter what the outcome of ssr issue turns out to be, except for paid tweets, likes, posts and comments, audience has started already ignoring nepo gang.
KJo isn’t going anywhere. He’ll be fine. He’s used to drama. KJo is a good director. My Name Is Khan, K3G and yes even KKHH are evidences
