Marshall Amplification is a British company which designs and manufactures music amplifiers, more commonly for guitars. Founded in 1960 in London, United Kingdom by Jim Marshall, the company now has its headquarters located in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. Marshall originally built their amplifiers as direct copies of Fender amplifiers but soon modified them to incorporate certain traits which made them more favourable to guitarists seeking a heavier sound.
