March 2018 – Bollywood Blind Item 5

The blind item below was published by Mumbai Mirror. It’s not that hard to figure out who this blind item is talking about since the word “success” these days is associated with only this young actor. Why? Because he is the only one with a full success rate, no flops at all; at least, not yet!

The blind item below is about what happened when these two met a director for a film. They came separately, while one came with three people by his side, the other one came alone. The thing is the successful actor is from Bollywood, he grew surrounded by Bollywood people so his understanding of how things work is better than the other actor.

The reason why the other actor came with his people is because after so many flops in a row, he needs serious advice on the next film that he should sign. His people probably doesn’t trust him to handle script-narrations alone hence the company. It’s good that he is still getting films even after delivering that many flops and after most people realised the boy can’t act! Good for his bank account, that is!

Check out the blind item from Mumbai Mirror.

    March 2018 – Bollywood Blind Item 5

A well-known director met two young actors individually for a script session. Both actors started out together — one has been hugely successful, the other is still finding his feet. The successful actor greeted the director with a hug, heard the story and narration, but refused the film and apologised profusely. Apparently, it was similar to another film he had done. The other actor came with three managers, sat for the meeting disinterestedly, and left saying his team would be in touch. The director didn’t call him up again, or his team.

    1. IMO Imtiaz is the most overrated and over-hyped director. I can understand the hype around VikramAditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap (as they do bring something different every time) but never understood why there is so much hype around a man who makes movies on the same story over and over again… In all his movies, a guy meets a girl who changes his view and perspective (on love, life, work, passion, ambition etc) and inspire him to become a better version of himself.

There were some news Imtiaz and Shahid are doing a movie together. Maybe Shahid rejected that is why he approached Sid and Varun…

Also it seem like Ranbir who falls out with directors after every flop, fell out with Imtiaz after Tamasha flopped. Or else Imtiaz would have approached him. Ranbir in retaliation must have suggested that atrocious Jab Harry met Sejal title to him.

      1. Imtiaz was over-rated., agreed. Most of his movies after Socha Na Tha and Jab We Met were repetitive. This same “lost boy meets pretty girl while travelling abroad and life’s problems solved for no apparent reason” track has been repeatedly used by Zoya Akhtar as well (ZNMD and DDD). Its over used but the audience is catching on…

        1. Agree that ZNMD and DDD had a similar plot of a“lost boy meets pretty girl while travelling abroad and life’s problems solved for no apparent reason”
But Zoya’s luck by chance was different from ZNMD and DDD. Her upcoming Gully boy is about an underprivileged boy who make it big in the rap music scene so she seems to atleast try new stories unlike Imtiaz.

          1. Agree with monalisa. Luck by chance too was a great movie. The fact that it wasn’t a superhit probably made zoya go all masala commercial in her later movies. But even dil dhadakne do had some poignant moments. It wasnt shallow like overhyped imtiaz’s boring movies!!

    2. Moral of the story:
      1. After a string of flops, Imtiaz Ali still has a dud of an idea for his next film with no interested takers.
      2. Varun Dhawan has a better script sense than Sid M.
      (Big surprise !!! 😛 😛 )

      1. Imtiaz must take a long break and figure out his next movie… All his movies are repetitive and predictable..

Its better sid sticks to modelling… Movies not working for him…….
