Ministry of Women and Child Development of India issues statement about sexual harassment

What Tanushree Dutta has started has turned into such a big story now. Even the Government of India has been forced to stand up and show that it cares. To be fair, Maneka Gandhi has said that she will support these cases and will definitely look into it. She said it at the time that Tanushree’s story was blowing up. This is what they have tweeted today:

“I believe in the pain and trauma behind every single complaint. Cases of #SexualHarassmentAtWork must be dealt with a policy of zero tolerance,” Smt. @ManekaGandhiBJP on #MeTooIndia #DrawTheLine

The Ministry will be setting up a committee of senior judicial & legal persons as members to examine all issues emanating from the #MeTooIndia movement. #DrawTheLine

This is a statement that has been issued by the Ministry of Women and Child Development of India, which is from Union Minister Maneka Gandhi:

Ministry of Women and Child Development of India issues statement about sexual harassment

Here’s to hoping that the victims finally get the justice they deserve and that their culprits pay for what they did.

The Ministry will be setting up a committee of senior judicial & legal persons as members to examine all issues emanating from the #MeTooIndia movement. #DrawTheLine

    1. Every Mee Too case on social media should be registered officially and investigated by the Govt Of India, it should be so private that no person with money and power can mess with the story, evidences shared by the abuse survivors, every case should be well investigates and the abusers be given their due. It will ensure the me and women both, that it’s not normal and okay to abuse someone.
