From the generation of star kids that debuted with Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan, no one has had it worst than Neil Nitin Mukesh. He debuted the same year (2008) as Ranbir Kapoor in a film that went on to be a box office success. But for the same year, all the best newcomer awards went to Ranbir Kapoor. After that, Neil acted in ‘New York’, which was a hit, but soon after all of his films started to flop one by one. Neil had to head over to the South where he’s working in a film opposite a huge star and in Bollywood, he’s doing a film that also stars Salman Khan. Say what you want about Neil, he’s still one of the prettiest boys of Bollywood!
Neil on his failures
I haven’t gotten much work in recent times after ‘Players’, ‘3G’, ‘Shortcut Romeo’ and ‘David’ tanked at the box-office. Even my dad was worried.
Neil on his upcoming projects
I did a South film. Now all is well. In Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payyo’, I play a rebel without a cause.
Neil on working with Salman Khan
I play a rebel without a cause, a guy who is constantly seeking attention. It’s fun working with Salman, I am learning so much from him everyday.
