Not everyone can be a Bollywood hero

We all know that the ones with the easiest access to Bollywood are those, who are related to Bollywood people. Bollywood people are directors, producers, composers, actors and so on. Anyone related to them are their sons, daughters, nephews, nieces and others. The thing is, every one of these kids dream of becoming a Bollywood hero. No matter what they look like or how talented they are, they have the golden ticket to be the main hero in a Bollywood film. If you notice closely, they think that having a good body and dancing skills will make the audience accept them. They seem to be big fans of Hrithik Roshan and name him as their inspiration. Most of them head over to the New York Film Academy, just like Ranbir Kapoor did.

If not produced or directed by their hotshot Bollywood family member, they get offered films from other produces or directors. Or if they are super rich and want to be a Bollywood hero so bad, they produce their own projects. But that is only one person from the list, who’s rich enough to do that.

Unlike the other list of failed Bollywood heroes that you can find online, this list consists of recent kids on the block. Those, who made their debut in the last 7 years or so. If we go back longer than that, the list will be way longer. But, that’s not the problem these days. The problem is that every kid with Bollywood connections think they CAN become a Bollywood hero. Sure, they have the resources and the money to make it, so why are we bothered by this? Well, we are helping them from making the biggest mistakes of their lives and not to mention, wasting loads of money. Also, saving the audience from watching these mindless movies onscreen.

What we find both funny and troubling is that some of these guys look exactly like their father. That’s not a problem if it’s Amitabh Bachchan or Feroze Khan. We won’t say more on the physical aspect because anyone with eyes can see what we are talking about.

We have made our mind to write about this situation going on in Bollywood when we saw the trailer of this guy, who’s related to a big Bollywood producer-writer-director trio. It was all cringe worthy: the story, the music, the acting, the dancing, the looks and so on. You should see the comments on YouTube, internet people were making fun of him.

Did you notice how there’s always a happening singer to sing a song in their film? Like Arjit Singh is the singer of the moment and they hire him thinking that perhaps, his song will make people come to the theatres to see their film. Then, there’s the occasional remix song, where they take a used to be popular song from the 90s and remix it for today’s audience. Notice how that song was most likely in their relatives production back then, so it almost came at a free cost.

These kids don’t have to become Bollywood heroes just because they have the connections and easy access. Their relatives shouldn’t encourage them either. They can become side heroes or part of the supporting cast, but that’s the problem since they all want to be the main attraction of the film. Obviously, being the main hero equals to more fame and money, but that is only if they are successful. If not, then they will keep on trying and trying until no one would want to hire them any more.

    What makes good actors?

Talented actors are those, who make you forget the real them onscreen and you see only the characters they are playing. Like Ranveer Singh in ‘Bajirao Mastani’, SRK as Gaurav in ‘Fan’, Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Paa’, Salman Khan in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and many other actors. They need to have that x-factor, which makes the audience notice them and their talent onscreen. Not everyone is gifted with that and it’s quite apparent in today’s time.

Here’s our list below. We have put here their trailers, so that you don’t have to go find them. This is our list and if you have yours, please share. Just don’t put the old timers or newbies on it, like Abhishek Bachchan or Tusshar Kapoor.

    Not Bollywood Hero Material

    Mustafa

Not everyone can be a Bollywood hero

The son of Abbas Burmawala, from the duo director/producer of Abbas-Mustan. He is the latest star kid to be launched in his family’s ‘Machine’ opposite Kiara Advani. We were trying to find the trailer, but on its official page, there’s nothing. Only a teaser is there and we could have sworn, we did see a trailer. Could it be they took it down after the film flopped and instead put up the teaser, which is much better. But, we did find the trailer on someone’s else page. On the teaser’s page, a lot of commenters said stuffs about his looks. One guy even mentioned how Abbas-Mustan made their watchman a hero! This is the film, where they remade the ‘Tu Cheez Badi’ from ‘Mohra’; they remixed it and it’s just horrible. A lot of stars wished Mustafa well for his debut.

We always complete the script first and then approach the actor. We needed someone who didn’t have a set image for this film. That’s when our nephew suggested that we take Mustafa as the hero of the film. We didn’t react as we hadn’t thought about it. It took us a week to consider the idea. Mustafa knew everything about the script. And we were impressed when he enacted a few scenes from it. – Abbas-Mustan

    Sachiin Joshi

Not everyone can be a Bollywood hero

The son of Jagdish Mohanlal Joshi (Gutka King), Sachiin J. Joshi wasn’t always the actor. He was working with his father in their family business, JMJ group of Industries, and for some reason, he badly wanted to become an actor. He changed his name, left his wife and made his entry into Bollywood. His father never approved of Sachiin leaving his wife and the fact that Sachiin went on to marry an actress, Urvashi Sharmi, this made his parents even more upset. They didn’t even attend the huge wedding. But you know, this is a family whose father was accused of killing his daughter’s fiancee, so a change of wife might be nothing to worry about for Sachiin. What he doesn’t have to worry about is money because his father has loads of it. He has been bankrolling his films since the beginning of his career. All kinds of roles Sachiin tried, but nothing worked. He even tried to remake ‘Aashiqui 2’ in Telugu. He was in ‘Jackpot’, a film that also starred Sunny Leone. He has the money, so he will keep on trying.

I’m from Pune. My house and the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) shared a common wall. I’d often watch students shooting and making documentaries. That’s how I got interested in films. In fact, I’ve acted in about 12 documentaries made by the FTII students. Even before venturing into business, I did three South films (one of them was the Telugu movie, Ninu Chudaka Nenundalenu) Films are my passion. People may know me as an industrialist but I’m an actor first.

    Mahaakshay Chakraborty

Not everyone can be a Bollywood hero

You must have heard of Mimoh aka. Mahaakshay Chakraborty. He’s the son of Mithun, a yesterdayyear superstar, and Yogita Bali, a retired actress. Mithun is the same actor, who looks like he would rather be in bed sleeping than be a judge on ‘Dance India Dance’. Jimmy made his debut in 2008 in ‘Jimmy’ and that was when people realised he is not like his father. He wasn’t groomed properly, so he ended up looking too raw onscreen. He has a husky voice, which didn’t work in his favour even though it sounds good on Rani Mukherji. He acted in 8 films so far, including a Bengali film. Only ‘Haunted – 3D’ was a success, the rest were big flops. He spends his time polishing his acting skills and all that. His dancing skills were supposed to be the thing for him, but to us, he just looks like he’s jiggling his legs really fast. See for yourself.

I was 16 and busy studying Astrophysics. I wanted to go to NASA. I was 120 kg. All girls in school used to tie me rakhis. So I concentrated on my studies. I saw Kaho Na Pyar Hai and was inspired by Hrithik. That is when I wanted to enter the world of cinema. – Mimoh

    Harman Baweja

Not everyone can be a Bollywood hero

Harman Baweja is more famous for whom he dated rather the kind of actor he is. Well, he has dated Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu. He made his debut in ‘Love Story 2050’, a film that was produced and directed by his father, Harry Baweja. The film flopped badly and all of his other films did badly at the box office too. At the beginning of his career, Harman was more in the news for his need to be and look like Hrithik Roshan. If you saw the film, he does try to dance like him, but there was too much dancing in the film. It was not even needed.

    Jackky Bhagnani

Not everyone can be a Bollywood hero

Jackky Bhagnani is the son of producer Vashu Bhagnani. Since Jackky made his debut he has been trying hard to make the audience like him. From getting the rights to the famous ‘Gangnam Style’ song to acting as the Prime Minister of India, Jackky has tried it all. His dad tried to help him by asking other directors to cast him in their films, but they refused. For now, we heard that he has opened his own home production that will produce the kind of films that he wants. No word on whether he will be acting in them. He looks exactly like his dad!

    Adhyayan Suman

Not everyone can be a Bollywood hero

Adhyayan Suman is now more popularly known as the guy that Kangana Ranaut beat up and fed him her impure blood. Something like that! Before that, he was the guy, who made his debut in a flop film. His second film, ‘Raaz 2’ was the one in which he met Kangana Ranaut. He was offered other films by the Bhatts, but all failed. His dad decided to help him out and launch him again, that too was a flop. We still remember when we watched his movie ‘Jashn’ and that was years ago! He was alright, nothing extraordinary. By the way, he’s the son of Shekhar Suman.

    Girish Kumar

Not everyone can be a Bollywood hero

Girish Kumar is the son of Kumar Taurani, a film producer, who owns Tips Industry. Girish made his debut in ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’, which was a South remake. The movie flopped and Girish went for a makeover only to come back in ‘Loveshhuda’. Still, nothing worked in his favour. He managed to tie the knot, so he has emotional support compared to the other guys on this list. He looks a lot like his dad, just check out his pictures.

    1. Girish, Harmen and adyayan are pretty hot. They can be models. But they’re probably never be because they want to be earning the big bucks and be a superstar. Well in your dream my boys.
