Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally get married

After days, weeks and months of anticipation, Prince Harry finally tied the knot to his American girlfriend, Meghan Markle. Right before the wedding, there was just so much drama happening. Mostly from Meghan’s side of the family. It makes sense that Meghan didn’t invite them to the wedding. It does seem that they are not very close to her as they are from her father’s side. Meghan herself has no siblings, she has step-sisters and step-brothers. They did land up in the UK, not for the wedding but to do an interview on Live television about Meghan. Meghan was right not to invite them since they were willing to badmouth her before her wedding to the world. Anyways, the interview didn’t happen because the royal family pull some strings and forced the network to let go of their plans to interview these people. Meghan’s father also couldn’t be there since he accepted money from the papz to take his pictures as he readies himself for the wedding. The royal family cut him from the guest list like Meghan cut his other family members.

Back the wedding, first things first. Here’s how the wedding cake looked:

Meghan wore Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau on her head and it consists of ten brilliant diamonds, which was given to Queen Mary on her wedding day in 1893. It looked something like this:

 

Meghan’s long wedding dress was by Givenchy and it costs about $270,000. Of course, she got to wear it for free!

 

Prince Charles was even caught admiring the dress. It might come to use for the third one, he must be thinking.

It is said that Prince Harry honoured his mother, Lady Diana, by putting an empty seat right next to Prince William. Queen Elizabeth is probably wondering why that seat is empty and why couldn’t she be seated there? She’s the Queen, for God’s sake! UPDATE: It is empty so that nobody and their big hat disturb the Queen’s view.

An empty seat was noticeable next to Prince William inside St. George’s Chapel as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot on Saturday — but it wasn’t for the reason many people believe.

Viewers who tuned into the royal wedding questioned whether the seat was reserved to honor the late Princess Diana. In reality, though, the seat was simply kept empty so Queen Elizabeth had a perfectly clear view of the proceedings from the second row, PEOPLE has learned.

Speaking of Prince William, he looked very handsome today. Maybe because he’s more relaxed as this is not his wedding.

Quite something! And it was nice that she mixed up the ceremony by including her own people from her mother’s side. Her mother is black and a lot of the people performing were black too. Certainly, a first for her! If she was marrying Prince William, that wouldn’t have been possible because there are protocols to follow.

Prince Harry also invited his exes to the wedding, just like Prince William and Kate Middleton did. Unfortunately, Meghan didn’t follow the tradition.

That’s alright since Meghan probably didn’t want the focus to be on others. After all, this wedding broke all traditions that the royals are known for. Not just that, it also broke the oldest tradition amd stereotype about women. Who would have thought that a divorced American actress would get to marry a Prince? A prince, who is three years younger than her and is the son of the crown prince of England. Quite something!

 

Speaking of marrying into the royal family, hopefully Meghan now knows who they all are since she claimed that she had no idea who Prince Harry was!
