Rabia Khan Releases Jiah Khan’s Suicide Letter to Sooraj Pancholi

In an update on the Jiah Khan suicide case, her mother released a six-page letter that was written by Jiah describing her relationship with Sooraj Pancholi. The letter was released to the media late last night by her mother, who decided to take this step as she said it will help clear things up on why Jiah committed suicide. The suicide letter comes a day after Aditya Pancholi spoke to the media and told them that Sooraj was not the villain in Jiah Kahn’s suicide story. The letter was discovered by Jiah’s sisters when they were looking for her poetry to be read at her prayer meet on Saturday evening. Jiah’s sisters Karishma and Kavita discovered an envelope addressed to Sooraj, in it was the six-page letter that Jiah had written. Jiah’s mother Rabiya kept the original letter, but she gave a copy to the police so that they can take the necessary action. For now, the police are seeking legal experts’ opinion and only if needed, will they take the required action. The police will also send the letter to forensics to make sure that it was Jiah, who had written it. Before the letter was found, Jiah’s mother Rabiya already knew that Sooraj had something to do with her daughter’s death. She said Jiah wasn’t depressed, but she wasn’t happy in her relationship with Sooraj. Jiah’s mother was unhappy that Sooraj and Aditya made an appearance at Jiah’s funeral, but still she let them pay their last respect. I’m not posting the real letter, but an unedited newspaper clipping from Midday newspaper detailing everything.

Zarina Wahab, Sooraj’s mom, had this to say on Jiah’s letter:

“It is a love letter which she had written days before which she kept with her. You cannot term a six-page love-letter as a suicide note.”

    Love letters

Love letters sure have changed! They now have accusations written in it! Perhaps, these were the kinds of love letters that Aditya Pancholi sent to Zarina Wahab! That is the only reason I can think of!

    Sooraj Pancholi Arrested

Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on Monday night for abetting Jiah’s suicide, a week after Jiah committed suicide and at the same time that Jiah was probably waiting to see him outside his house, but he turned her away. How ironic!

If you are not familiar with Indian laws, here’s something that will help you understand why Sooraj has been arrested and what could happen if he’s proven guilty.

India’s Penal Code punishes the abetment of suicide. Article 306 states:

“If any person commits suicide, whoever abets the commission of such suicide, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.”

Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan was happy hearing this news to which she tweeted:

She also spoke about it and about the night that Jiah committed suicide, which is exactly a week from today. Rabia says that she was at her friend Anju’s home for dinner when Aditya Pancholi came in with his girlfriend.

“My point is to tell you the truth. It is being said that she was depressed and had no work, but it was not the case,” Rabiya said. “She was attending at least three to four events a month. She was making money and was living comfortably in her house with two maids and even had a car and a driver. It was the insecurity that her love was not respected and recognized that was killing her day by day.”

We don’t get it! Aditya is supposed to be married and yet, he parades around with a girlfriend! Hopefully, Sooraj is rightfully charged under the law and boys or men out there will learn that you cannot use and abuse girls or women without facing some sort of punishment.
