“Continue shooting” for ‘Brahmastra’, just to be clear!
Nagarjuna, the Telugu superstar, tweeted and shared the following pictures of his last day shooting for ‘Brahmastra’.
The film’s title was announced in late 2017 and started filming in 2018. According to Ranbir, his bestie Ayan spent 6 years developing the story of ‘Brahmastra’ into an original film. It is supposed to be a trilogy that would be made over a period of 10 years. Maybe RK misunderstood because they took almost this long to make the first one! Probably by now, RK to Ayan be like:
Whether or not the sequels will happen is going to depend on the success of the film when it’s released. Since it already took almost 4 years to make the first part, it might take more to make the sequels. The good thing is, money might not be an issue anymore since Dharma Productions has partnered with the famous Lyca Productions, but again it all depends on how ‘Brahmastra’s performance at the box office.
Initially, the film was supposed to release in 2019 but got delayed to 2020 and when the pandemic and lockdown happened, the release date moved to 2021. The team has been to Bulgaria, Kashmir, London, New York and Varanasi. Ayan went to Israel at the end of 2017 with Ranbir because he was interested to shoot portions of the film at the Israel-Jordan border. Since it is not officially mentioned that they shot there, the location was used for something else:
Initially when Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt started dating each other they were sure that they don’t want their relationship to be public as at that time even they were not sure where their relationship will head. To escape the eyes of the media, the duo decided to spend time away from India. Ranbir and Alia used to spend their time in an Island called Tel Aviv which is in Israel. The place was best suited for them as the Isalnd is the second most populous city in Israel which means less number of people and less risk of people finding about their relationship. – FPJ
The above quote happened around the same time that Alia ex-bestie asked her to keep an eye on her ex-bf! Those following blind items around that time would remember. Maybe Aloo has trouble hearing so she thought her ex-bestie wanted her to keep her ex-bf. But think about it, isn’t that a story that romantic movies are made of? Keeping an eye on someone and eventually in the process, ending up falling in love with the target (allegedly!)! Isn’t that the story of the first season of ‘Homeland’?
Obviously, they will never come out with this angle since there are just so many holes in it. It’s best to forget the exes part!
The president of India even paid a visit to the team when they were shooting in Bulgaria.
Reportedly, Alia and Ranbir are not charging extra to shoot for the film but RK is going to add a new clause in his contract that states he will have to be paid more if the shooting of his film gets delayed. It’s smart but also kind of strange because he used to say money doesn’t matter to him, he just loves acting and making movies!
Probably in recent times, RK is the only actor whose films have taken years to shoot. With that in mind, it will be fun to see how they maintain his look in the film since he has changed physically in the past six years. He shot for 2 films in between this one and just like they had to use CGI or VFX on his close-up at the end of ‘Jagga Jasoos’, maybe they will have to do something to maintain the continuity of this film. This time, it’s not just him but Alia as well.
You can see here how they had to trim the lower part of his face, don’t know if you can see it. He was building up for ‘Sanju’ at that time and had to shoot for the ending of JJ in between.
‘Brahmastra’ also features Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in supporting roles. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Don’t you guys think Alia has been trying to look like DP for a while now. Off late she has been copying Deepika’s style right from clothes to that chipku bun hairstyle.
Kjo’s reputation is witnessing a steep downfall as of now. Hence, no matter how many marriages and hookups kjo arranges among his minions, failure of his movies in this year is assured.
His image might improve by mid next year as he is quite street smart to get the pulse of public. Plotting against outsiders wouldn’t help anymore as now people are now more aware about true faces of kjo and his minions.
The harsh evaluation would now begin. Opening many seats in cinemas would serve as a harsh reality check for many movie makers( pandemic role).
The location was used for something else- i guess it was a hideout for Ayan RK relationship.
@Admin: any idea why Ayan unfollowed Deepika on insta? is it after her KWK comment where she said Ayan is a constant ( wink , wink)
Maybe ’cause she keeps messaging him on insta to ask when Brahmastra will be released. 😜 Jokes apart, Deepika’s statement sounds like a small thing to unfollow someone over when he’s the one who said his friendship with RK is like a love affair on KWK? Maybe he doesn’t really like Deepika that much but he does follow Ranveer, though. Bet he doesn’t following Katrina either, despite him following her and RK all the way to Ibiza and being their kebab mein haddi!
hahahah, yeah any queries regaridn Brahmastra can result in unfollowing 😀 I, read elsewhere, he used to like DP’s pics too, and then one fine day, he unfollowed her.. i am not surprised he folllows RS, he’s gotta keep his enemies closer.
RK -Ayan can systematically plot the downfall of their competition…I happened to bump into a video of Rk-Imran on KWK– and wondered how that friendship intiated by RK crumbled and IK is out of the scene and screens!
Friendships don’t really exist in Bollywood! The ones with power manipulate those below them into thinking there’s actual true love and respect there.
KJo and SRK are the best examples of that! Years ago, they would have died for each other (a bit far-fetched) then the PC thing happened + KJo opted to work with other actors, the fallout happened! Another example is the SRK+AK+SK friendship. Who would have thought AK would have been so close to SK at one point? They hated each other but SK’s ride to the top and becoming the box office golden goose made AK stand up and walk all the way to galaxy to send that friendship request! It’s hard to be friends with people who are megalomaniacs and narcissists with huge egos unless you are willing to forget about your existence and only care about theirs!
Who’s to say, RK and Ayan will still be by each other’s side 5 or 10 years from now? As long as Ayan is willing to stick around RK, they will be fine.
But Ayan is in love with RK, i dont think it even qualifies as friendship any more. .Together they plot and concoct gossips to bring down others,
Also, i am sure there are no real friendships , i used the IK example only to highlight the diabolical side to RK….the friendship was initiated by him and he will do anything to finish competition..i guess why he gets along with KJo and gang.
Ranveer is safe only cos he does major ass licking of all powers that be plus he is a YRF blue eyed boy..anythhing else and he would be outta the game like Imran! He has been a formidable opponent to RK, took away his coveted throne in the garb of a clown…
KJo was also said to be in love with SRK, right? Together, they gave so many hits and were part of the same group socially for years. Now, it’s not there anymore. Whatever is left is just for business purposes. More than the men, RK and Ayan probably gossip about women more. Ayan, by now, must be like RK’s personal secret keeper!
See, these people are in an industry where the audience and the media help them reach where they are. IK was given ample of chances, he didn’t make it through because he wasn’t strong enough acting-wise to be compared to RK. Similarly, Neil Nitin was also touted as the next big thing and look where he is now. Both of them made bad choices, as far as films are concerned. Ranveer has established himself and is safe, as long as his films work. He can always fall back on being part of a power couple.
Compared to all of them, RK is in a lucky and stable position. No matter what, he will keep on getting movie offers and endorsements. He has a strong fan following and an even stronger support system from the industry. He played it smart by not being arrogant and showing off his ego publicly like the three Khans did. He might not rule the industry like SRK did, but he has the reputation of being a good actor and a star.
@Admin, i agree, IK just wasnt up to the mark, but i guess snatching projects from each other also goes a long way in a failed career.
RK is a good actor, i thought he was gonna back fill Aamir Khan, but his choice of scripts portrays him in a similar fashion so now i feel he is backfilling SRK, being stuck in an image he cant break out of , and even if he wants to, the audience rejects him.
The range Ranveer brings makes him more of a concoction of the three khans and hence, i feel he has somehow managed to take away that coveted position from RK.
Kjo- SRK will still stick with each other- Kjo will launch his kids, and is still around during special days like birthdays etc.. i dont know if SRK- Kjo just had a strong bond or they were more than friends. But am sure Kjo spoke to SRK about the business viability of associating himself with the younger lot, and promised to do the same for his kids:)
Ayan seems to have a hold over RK and i dont doubt for a minute he has a hand in his breakups, especially with women RK likes, not talking about Alia- cos its evident even to a bat that RK gives two hoots about her, and so Ayan feels secure in the relationships.

Hey ya! It’s a profitable venture for both sides of the coin.
One thing about KJo, he stands up for his own. The deals he got for AB and SM are proof that as long as he is around, his proteges and the kids that he launches will always have work on hand. Of course, they have to stick to his style of networking and doing business which involves a lot of faking it! 😏
Yeah, I have mixed feelings about this. Tripti and others will get reasonable success by aligning with KJo but will never be in the top 1-3. This is unless some miracle happens or they venture out on their own to collaborate with others. He will not let anyone threaten his favourite’s positions.
The fact that he said he will unleash her talent- literally translates to capitlaize on her talent, if she doesnt succeed, doubt he is gonna get work for her. You gotta be a Nepo kid to get that kinda loyalty from Kjo or you gotta be munda kukkad kamaal da ala Sid Mal
Hmmm, being a part of the top does not really matter now. Besides, we all know, actresses being on top is only for a short period of time. They eventually fall back down and it’s not pretty from thereon. Right now, with OTT, numbers don’t really matter. They certainly won’t matter since cinemas are not being reopened fully anytime soon. At least, Tripti will be secure and will have offers. Karan is better than Aditya’s YRF talent because as we said, he genuinely cares about the ones he launches. They are a reflection of his success and power in the industry.
