Ranveer Singh debuted in Yash Raj’s ‘Band Baajaa Baarat’ and at that time, no one thought he would one day be on par with Ranbir Kapoor. Born on July 6, Ranveer auditioned for his part in ‘Band Baaja Baarat in 2010. Flash forward 4 years later, he has been in fewer films than his contemporaries. Since he was under contract with Yash Raj Films after he signed ‘Band Baaja Baarat with them, Ranveer had to commit to two more films with the company that launched him. ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ was his next Yash Raj film in 2011 and ‘Gunday’ in 2014 by Yash Raj as well. Other than Yash Raj, Ranveer ventured out on his own in ‘Lootera’ and in ‘Ram-Leela’.

Since he begun his career in Bollywood, Ranveer Singh was linked to two top female stars. One was his first leading lady in 2010 – 2012, Anushka Sharma, while the other was his ‘Leela’ from ‘Ram-Leela’ in 2013 – ongoing, Deepika Padukone.
Ranveer Singh will be seen opposite Anushka Sharma in ‘Dil Dhakne Do’ and he will also be seen in ‘Bajirao Mastani’ opposite Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. Ranveer will also act for the second time with Parineeti Chopra in ‘Kill Dil’, Ali Zafar is also in this film.
